ever spill Orange Glo?

If not, DON'T. If so, what did you do? I had my cleaning caddy in the bedroom and I took the Orange Glo out to clean the desk. I opened the bottle up to unclog the sprayer under some hot water. When I came back, I found that one of the cats had knocked it over! It got all over the carpet (cheap flat apartment carpet) and my pile of laundry that I had sitting near by. I washed the clothes 4 times and they still a "wonderful" fresh orange smell. No visible stains, so I'm just going to live with it. The carpet now has a ripple in it where the stuff spilled. I blotted up the excess when it happened, but not sure how to get the rest out. I have shampooer (extractor, not foamer) (though I have that too, wouldn't use it for this)... but what will dissolve whatever makes that "stuff" up? Will I just get a big slimy mess if I wet it? So frustrating, not to mention wasting one of the more expensive furniture polishes! I never had this problem with dollar store aerosols, and I think that's what I will replace it with!

Do NOT ever buy that stuff! In the chance that you will get some good furniture...it will cloud some finishes....and as you now know...it smells! You want something to smell like an orange....just the outside of an orange peel over it.
Get a bottle of wiemn's or another non aerosol furniture polish and you will be happier...
Yeash! Bobby! Do you need me to come down there and show you how to clean too?? I already had to show you how to cook!

Well! I may get good furniture in 50 years when I graduate college... I'll be sure to pass your message on to my maids at that time! I've just finished shampooing the carpet where it spilled... no slimy mess, but I hope it looks and feels normal again after it dries.

Glad you got it out, I dropped an opened bottle of Dawn dish soap on my carpet it still has the streak in it. I am afraid to clean it with a cleaner because there will be one big really clean spot, the carpet is really old.
As one cat lover to another, always take the opened bottle with you because a cat will want to know what is in the bottle and knock it over to find out. lol

I'd love to know how to open the bottle. I have 2 and want to combine them but the lid just clicks when I turn it. I tried pushing down like you would a medicine bottle but that didn't work. Can someone please help? I swear I'm not dumb, just frustrated. :-)

Has ANYONE figured out a way to remove the top of the bottle? My OCD can only take so much!!
