Memorial Table

I finally got a few pictures taken and downloaded so will post some pics. The way I feel, I might leave it set up until the 4th of July.LOL

It is such a pleasure to be able to use our DD's medals of honor, their Purple Hearts, on this table. We have lost our DD's but they are remembered with this table.

    Hi Punk,
    Beautiful tribute.
    I love the Uncle Sams!
What a lovely way to remember your DD's and use the Purple Hearts instead of just having them gather dust.
    Nicely done,

Punk...I like how you did each placesetting with the repetition of "circles" and the red, white & blue. Also the American blocks in front of each place to mimic the centerpc one! Folded napkin holding knife & spoon looks great using the red & white color scheme. And both your DD's purple hearts bring a humble moment of appreciation for all those who serve our country. Wonderful memorial! TFS! Jeanne S.
Hope you're feeling better soon...mine is slowly getting better...dr says it will take time (ugh) :-)

    Punk,
Your star plates are very classy. The rest of the dishes really set your star plates off. And, of course, what a nice way to show your love, placing the purple hearts in the center.

    Cute pillar Uncle Sams.

I sent you an email. Did you get it? Did I offend you? Write back.

Hi Everyone and I need to let all of you know the medals were our dads. I wasn't thinking when I typed DD that it stands for daughter.

Candy, glad you liked this table and the uncle sams were for the 4th but thought they would work on this table too.

Jeanne, thanks for all your comments. I have several sets of these blocks but normally only use one. I struggle more than some at having the right things for my tables, so glad you like it.

Dishcindee, thanks and I'm so glad you liked the Purple Hearts on the star dishes.

OA, thanks too for your comment on the star plates. I'm not as good as the rest of you at putting together tables. The star plates seemed like the only ones that would work to used with the medals on this table. Thanks so much for being such a caring person.

Punk, your table turned out really nice. How wonderful that you thought to bring out those purple hearts to use and enjoy during this holiday. Our thanks for both Dad's service to our country. When I saw the spindles, I thought you might have painted them and the blocks--did you? They are really neat and a nice addition to the table. Very clever the way you layered the placemats and plates too. Nice job. Luvs

What a wonderful table!! You've got some terrific Patriotic decor! The Uncle Sam's are especially my favorites. I think. LOL. You make it hard to chooose.
I always love seeing your tables, you are so GOOD at this stuff. That "artist eye" at work.

Punk, I don't know why I always think DD means dear daughter. It could be either of course. Since my tiny little mind needs help, I need clues from the post to let me know which it is. (I get confused sometimes with DS too, as its got double meanings.)

I always refer to my Dad in the real words on here, since I also have a DD. I probably confuse enough of you as it is. LOL.

    hugs, Karen
