Bath Tile Pics!

I'm so excited! All of my bath tiles are finally in and my main bath reno starts next week! I'm doing white subways in the bath/shower alcove. There will be a border of mosaics, glass and marble. The vanity will be blue pearl granite. The floor tile is a 16x16 porcelian that looks like marble... veins are blueish-grey.

Here is a pic of all of the tiles and a hunk of the blue pearl in the upper right! The blue mosaics are lighter in true light.

I like the mosaics! That'd make a helluva shower floor!

Thanks for the kind words and good wished everyone! Bill, yes, I'd love to do a shower floor in the mosaics, but unfortunately, I have to do a tub/shower as I only have 1.5 baths :( I think the mosaics are pretty enough to wear :D

Love your choices. Where did you find the mosaics? What brand?

I love the blue pearl granite but wasn't sure what to use wth it.

I can't wait to see this bathroom. I have saved one other dark blue bath that I really like but I don't think I can pull it off in this house.

Hi Pinchme! Actually, the bath will mostly be white :) The white subways are the main tiles. The blue mosaics are only border and accent tiles and the blue pearl granite is vanity top. All fixtures, tub, toilet and vanity will be white.
I opted for glass shower doors -- not thrilled about that but I so want to be able to see it all... all the time!
Jo-I-Am -- I don't know the name of the mosaics... found them in a local tile store. I am going away tomorrow for a week while most of the work will be done. When I come back, I will go back and ask about the tiles if you'd like :)
The other tiles, subways and floor tiles, were found at a tile store my contractor sent me to -- for his discount and they are all from Italy (except the granite). The contractor's store didn't know the mosaics either...

Beautiful choices- never would have thought to use the blue pearl granite with marble, but it looks great together. Can't wait to see the final result- please post pics!

Really stunning choices! Is the large porcelain Daltile's Capella in Gardini Blanco? That was our second choice (just behind Daltile's Navelli Carerra Star) and it is really lovely. The blue pearl mosaic will look stunning against the white and will really tie in your blue pearl counter top.

Minette - I'll head to my tile store and ask. They really know their stuff so I'm sure they could find it for me.

Can't wait to see the finished pics!

What are you having for a sink? I can't make up my mind between pedestal and a small version farm sink but it will have a drain overfolow and a faucet hole. Maybe this is folowing too close behind the kitchen but it's giving me stress marks!

PinchMe -- I actually bought the blue pearl vanity top with integrated white porcelain sink about 1.5 years ago when I was doing my kitchen! I saw the top and I just melted and bought it on the spot, though knowing the bath reno was down the road. It's been hiding in my garage ever since. I opened it again to look at it 2 weeks ago when I found the mosaics and I just died from eye-candy overload!

My current bathroom was re-done in 1972, I think. It is HORRID. And falling apart. I'm hoping that when I come back next Monday, at least the tub/shower and tiled tub alcove will be done. And floor!? Sooo excited!

The mirror came Sat., which is a Venetian. There will be so much sparkle in this room, I can't wait! It's a tiny bath about 9x7, so I really wanted to make it special and make it POP!

Prickly -- I have no idea what the floor tile is -- I was so excited when the store found it for me that I forgot to ask! I only know it's from Italy... sorry.

Thanks everyone for the continued nice comments!!

Minette99, it’s only 12 years later, but I am DYING to see photos of how your bathroom turned out! I’m pairing blue pearl vanity countertops with a lightly veined marble in my bathroom…my search for this lead me to your post. My shower trim will be a shiny mother-of-pearl, I think. Your Venetian mirror idea is inspired! Really would love to see your bathroom and learn if you would do anything differently.
