Thanks everyone!!! We're happy with everything so far and I'd be delighted to share final pics in a few weeks...renos will be done in a week and half but we still have to source mirrors and a chandelier (or flushmount) above the tub.

Mairin, the guest room paint is Wickham Grey by Benjamin Moore. It's a wonderful, serene grey blue.

One thing I see that's cause for concern. Your shower pan is finished, and obviously by the drain it's not a Kerdi shower, so membrane can't be added later and overplapped on the inside-- where's the pan membrane that should be coming out over the top of the curb?

I love your bathrooms! Your MB floor is gorgeous. You and DH have exqusite tastes.

    Totally love your bathrooms.
I am thinking of using marble mosaic like you have used in your floor as a finishing piece on the wall. What was your experience in finding the "right" mosaic?

I have a wonderful polished calacatta gold for the wall and floor (12x12) that I chose because the background is very much more white than much of the marble I looked at. I am looking for mosaic that has gray but it needs also to have some real white to tie in with the other tile. I am torn between all marble and mixture of marble/glass mosaic border.

I'm dying to get back in and use them both!!

Bill - I'll talk to my GC and raise the concern that you mentioned, as I don't understand the technical aspects of this. He mentioned he was putting a full membrane under the shower floor. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll keep you posted!

Profrip - We've found that every lot of Calacatta marble tiles is different. There is SO much variation with natural stone. One guy actually took me to the back and showed me a sample of our 12x12 from different lots. Some had dramatic veining, some had more brown, others with grey. Our 5/8x5/8 mosaics have more of the brown undertone that concerned me at first, but works really well with our caramel/brown vanity.

The one kind that i really liked in the showroom - it was mainly white with soft wisps of brown and grey - was not available. So even though the tiles we have were not the ones I would have originally chosen, I absolutely love how they look in person. We made sure that the other tiles in the room were more quiet though...the subway tiles on the walls and shower.

My advice in sourcing a mosaic would be to see a few tiles from the lot you're choosing, and compare it to a piece of your countertop slab and floor tiles.
