I used professional movers I believe there were 4 of them 1 being the owner of the company. I tipped an extra $125.00 I've used them in the past and they do anything you ask and are very careful with you belongings. THey worked very hard and my satisfaction was their main priority! I will continue to use them and tip them...

We just relo'd... I asked the relo company for a suggestion of tips so that I didn't embarrass them (relo company is owned by my husband's new company...)

They started out with some sort of sliding scale based on # of hours... ending at $50 for 20+ hours. Since we had two guys who came over 1000 miles to pack and move us, for a total of four days, and since we held them up for an extra day in the new city because our closing was delayed and we couldn't leave town until after the closing (to meet them in the new city), we tipped a little more. $75 each.

We also paid for lunch the first day, but the lead guy told me his company paid for their food when they are on a job away from home, so it really wasn't necessary for me to do so. I just had to go out and get it, since moving a huge tractor trailer in my neighborhood was very difficult to begin with, let alone a couple of times per day!

We were pleased, so tipped $5 per man per hour, or $40 each.
