Don't forget to watch QVCs Christmas in July this weekend. I don't buy much there, but love to watch and enjoy!

Hey, PD, yesterday I went TS and YS shopping with a friend and GW member. We stopped at a YS where the lady was getting ready to move to Texas. Lots of stuff really cheap. I asked about some poinsettia garland I saw sticking out of a bag, and she said I could have the whole bag for $1.00. I had so much fun sorting through that bag last night. Had lots of pretty ribbons, a couple of garlands, some small ornaments, and of course, the poinsettia garland I had originally spotted. I also got a couple of ceramic pumpkin items, and a neat jar with acorns on it--have I mentioned that I now have a "thing" for acorns? LOL

Thanks for the heads up about QVC. I'm still having a hard time thinking about Christmas with temps in the upper 90's here! ;o)

I just spend several hours touring all the CIJ Party blogs and watching QVC in the background. Nothing else has been done around here today, but I am happy, happy, happy!

    Luvs,

Congrats on yard sale-ing! I love to buy bags and boxes of things--it's just about worth what you pay for the fun you have sorting it out.

    Since you mention it--
I went to a 'yard sale' to the fairgrougnds last
weekend. It was kinda late on the last day-1/2
price. THEN they made the announcement that 'all
you can put is a bag for $1' I bought 12 (TWELVE)
bags full. Most of it will go for Garden junk
    things-totems and teacup birdfeeders,etc.
    Son-law was a little grumpy,but I aked 'How much
is a movie ticket?' and told him that I got more
fun out of buying that than going 2 a couple of
    movies!

Luvs, thats great. Its like a treasure hunt, isnt it? Those bags and boxes when you dont know what you will find inside!

nonacook, couple of movies for 12$?? Here, you can only go watch one movie for 12$ and thats without any popcorn!! You did great :)

I don't even remember what I bought last year after Christmas..so it is always a surprise!
Never did that spread sheet Judith told us to do with all out things! That would make too much sense..
PD, you are really into Cmas! Were you on Holidays last year? I don't remember!
You will have lots to post for the holiday!

PD, if you were not on here last Christmas, you might want to read some of the old posts from back then. There were some awesome Christmas decorations and tables on there!

Nona, you know I would have loved to have been at that sale with you! Sounds like so much fun!

I keep saying I don't have any room for more "stuff"--then keep finding bargains I just can't pass up. I've got to get busy and clear out some other stuff so I have room for more Christmas and tablescape items! Right now, I'm thinking about adding another shelf in the top of the guest room closet to stash things so I can clear out the hallway "linen" closet for dishes! LOL

I am thinking of getting rid of the food in the pantry so I would have more room..dh doesn't agree! :)

PD, now you have me thinking "Christmas in July"! I had to go get dog food yesterday, so I swung by the new GW in that area--found a set of 8 ruffled red chargers for $7.99 and then 10% off for senior discount. They are new, still in the box, figured at less than a dollar each I'd better grab them! LOL

As hot as it has been this last couple of weeks--thinking Christmas might be a good idea just to try to feel cooler! ;o)

WOW Kathleen, that is a perfect idea...a diet plan and more dish room all wrapped up in one!!!

Congrats, Luvs & Nona! Great buys for such a smal price! Take some pics when you get a chance, will you?
