I have a very modern dining room with LIMITED lighting. We have a chandelier, 2 sconces (from Restoration Hardware) that look like yellow candles, and 2 canned lights above the buffet. We have all black furniture.....black dining table & chairs, black buffet, and black bar unit. The floors are a warm tiger wood. We wanted to keep with the modern & cool tones, and went with a Benjamin Moore gray paint (can't remember gray, but it was VERY neutral, no strong undertone of blue or green). In the end, it looks like I have sage walls. I hate it. The only window we have is filtered by our front porch overhang, and there is a HUGE oak tree right outside the window. I wonder if that filters everything greenish. I am wondering if I need to :"overcompensate" and find a much bluer gray? more purple? more pink? Or do I need to go much lighter/darker? Am totally lost here. Thank you!!!
