Luvs is the Master, better obey. Everything is lovely, as always. Hydrangeas are my favorite flower, and of course ones I'll never even SEE here in Phx except the silk variety. The purple one took my breath away! You are surrounded by beauty outside, and create your own inside.

Beautiful flowers! I have several bunches of silk ones displayed around the house. I planted a hydrangea tree many yrs. ago but it just didn't do well so finally dug it up. Wish now I would have kept doctoring it, it may have lived in spite of 'me'!

    Food is GReat!

The purple was for you, Purplemoon!

Mary, I just love hydrangea. I must have 30 of them! I rooted many of them...the blue is my fave though. They are very common out here, I guess they do well in the salt air or something..

Kathleen, do you use a special ferilizer on them? I should try and plant some again....maybe shop around for a tree!

Mary, the only kind I know that are shaped into a tree are PeeGee. They start out as a bush, but you keep cutting off the lower branches. I have one, it has not bloomed yet, it blooms in August. But the flower is white and elongated.
Get yourself an endless summer and try it...They bloom all summer.
I use Hollytone in the fall and spring. The Polish farmer I bought many of them from said it was the best for them. Use it on all the evergreens too...

Wonderful Hydrangeas ....love that lacecap. Please describe the menu....it looks yummy. Kareen

Kareen, one night it was red leaf salad fresh from the farm with chicken cutlet cut in pieces, and the other, homemade potato salad, onion rings and burgers...

These plates I got at Wm Sonoma, 1.99 and the napkin rings were 2 dollars each.

Kathleen you're table settings & food never cease to amaze me...So beautiful..down to every detail!
I must tell you though, that I have enormous 'Hydrangea Envy' :(
Between having difficulty getting them to bloom.. and then when I do get a couple of flowers...the deer swoop down on them!! I did plant a PeeGee near my front porch, two years ago, and it's getting ready to bloom (yaaaay)..I'm watching it like a hawk. I do love your blue ones and you're right, they must do well in your area with the climate, as I see them all over the Cape which is pretty much the same.

Kathleen, so glad you are listening to the "boss", Luvs and are continuing to delight us with your pics of your daily table settings and food. We never get bored with them...they are wonderful as are your hydrangeas - your pics of them are beautiful too. I especially like your last pic here with the white tablecloth, it really softens the look and with the candles burning and the lovely blue plates, it looks so peaceful.

Again, success, very pretty, and as usual you have caused me to gain weight with the wonderful photos of food! LOL

OMG! I am so NOT the "boss" or "master"--but I do love to see all this wonderful eye candy. LOL

Your flowers are just so beautiful, Kathleen. They look so healthy and are so full of blooms. I really like those paisley placemats and they really make the white plates pop. Love the oval plates that the bread is on too. You sure have collected some neat dishes. Those vegetable plates are so versatile too, I loved them with your purple placemats, and they look great with the red too. Nice to be able to have something that will go with many things. And the food--you have really gotten good at photographing it and it always looks so yummy. ;o)

Fortunately, I just finished my breakfast, so I can look at your pictures without problem!

By the way, are hydrangea strong - to live in a cold and rainy country - and big plants? Yours are gorgeous and I'd like to buy some for my garden... maybe next year, now it's too late, I presume?
