Found a few more "treasures'. All for under $12.00. Got some western books for DB, two little wire card/picture holders, floral pitcher (says FTD on bottom), nice round bowl and the perfect stand for it (thought about putting seashells in it, but might wait and use it for a goldfish for GD) and a floral arrangement book with really pretty pictures. Here's a pic for you all. Luvs

Luvs, Another day of fantastic bargains for you. I don't know which is my favorite. I love them all and I love Western books also. The bowl and stand are very pretty. Congrats on some great finds.

Very nice, Luvs! You must be the only one shopping these days.

Wow, Luvs, great finds and inexpensively! Love the butterfly card holder! You are right the glass bowl can be used for alot of things, don't forget Christmas now, you can fill it with Xmas baubles and such (you know I HAD to mention Christmas LOL )

Here are a few things that I have picked up over the last 2 wks or so (I am trying to behave and not spend too much, I really want to get on with my remodling and I can't do that if I keep spending money on dishes and stuff LOL)

Funky ceramic shoes that I found fairly cheaply, I'll use them for...something, the orange one will fit in for Autumn and Thanksgiving I think. The things next to the shoes are the candy necklaces I bought at the dollar store, I will use them as "swags" on my Xmas CandyLand tree($1.00 each). The red handled silver ware for 4 is from Target on sale last week for $6.and change. Good for 4th of July, Xmas, etc.

The plastic melamine dishes are from Kirklands,(they were a good price too, I love those colors) The black and white cotton "scarves" are from Walmart, I will use those as napkins for my "black and white" look. The "marbles" are from Walmart too, they will go with the teal look in a tablesetting. And last, is the cupcake holder (need to straigten out) I bought at Big Lots.

Judith, you got some great finds there. Those black and white scarves are so cute. Love the tiered cupcake stand too. I am just amazed at the variety of melamine plates this year. Some of them are now saying microwave and dishwasher safe! And the shoes are so colorful, I am sure they will be darling when you incorporate them into your tablescape. Good buy on the red silverware. Sounds like you have had a chance to get out and see what's new in the stores. I've tried to do a little of that when I've been out too. Thanks for sharing your pics. Luvs, the pitcher and butterfly card holder are my favorites. And Judith, those shoes are darling and will be such fun in table decor to play with.

I hit Goodwill on Sat, their half off day, and also the 99 Cent store. Bought a LOT of stuff, still need to take photos. Most of it is Garden Junk tho. However, and Ladies, get ready for this......
I bought a boxed set of 4 new dinner napkins at Tues. Morning that was on sale for $3. In PINK.
    LOL.

    Woohoo. Karen has pink napkins!
J., good stuff. Don't eat the candy before Cmas!! I love the cupcake stand, I have one of the Wiltons, but I like yours better! The turq is so pretty. Guess we'll be treated some new scapes soon! (or after garden season!)
I did buy some stuff ay Kohl's...60 off on all patriotic, so I loaded up on naps and mats....couple of lighthouse candleholders from ACMoore. and fake baby's breath bushes for 29...I usually pay 1.29 there for them, so I took a ton.
No time to post pics, the family is here and I am stealing a few minutes here. Pics later, but I don't know if you'll want to see Patriotic after the 4th, LOL. I plan on using them for Labor Day too. And the red/cranberry mats, anytime...

Kathleen, and you other "Pinkies", I picked up those napkins and thought how much y'all would probably like them.
Put them back down and then just heard all these little whispers saying I better buy them or you'd send me on a guilt trip!!! LOL. Besides, not too long ago I got that pair of Bordallo rabbit cups and saucers in pink (along with the green pair I wanted). So guess I did "need" these napkins. LOL

Yes, you do NEED them! What will your imaginary guests wipe their hands on, after they eat their imaginary dinner? I was showing a neighbor who has her vacation house here my tablesetting pics. She works for a publisher..big one. She couldn't believe we set the table just to take pics!! She thought it was very funny!

Well, I went shopping with my DD at my fav craft store today, I got weak and lost my resolve of not spending too much money, when I saw all of the halloween stuff they had out...I just HAD to buy a few things, I will be adding some glitter and stuff to give them some BLING, I just have a need for bling; I always over do it. Thankfully my DD was at the other end of the store, but she did see them at check out, she definately "eyeballed them" arching her eyebrow in an annoying sort of way, but I answered that with a practiced look that said "don't go there girl" (my look WON) I haven't been a mom for all these years for nothing...LOL
When I finish them I will post a photo.

Oh, come on Halloween!!!LOL...I was in Michael's Tues and the ladies were making the fall floral pieces, yep, with pumpkins!!! As soon as you see those red glass plates in Walmart, let me know..if Halloween is out, Christmas can't be far behind!!

And Karen, the pink whisperer was Sandi...

Right Kathleen, blame it on poor Sandi. You and Judith wouldn't do such a thing. Neither would Luvs. HA !!!
Judith....Halloween out already. Oh my. It was 116 here today, I can only pray for OCT at this point. Tho when at Tues Morning last Sat, I bought a cute Halloween sign come to think of it. Girl at checkout was a smart alec asking if I was "getting ready for H. already". I'd forgotten I bought it, so no pix yet.
Uh by the way, Kathleen, you are a brave woman to let someone know you set tables to take pix. I have a feeling I'm going to be a Closet Dish Junkie. LOL. Pix in separate post tonight.

Judith, made me laugh about the "looks". LOL I think we are all learning that if we see something cute that we want, we need to get it then--might not be there if we go back later. and it seems that the holiday things get picked over fast.

Kathleen, you are right. All the Spring/Summer flowers were on markdown at Michael's and Fall flowers were on display already.

I haven't even figured out how to tell my "best" friend about setting the table just to take pictures to share here. She will probably think I have lost it for sure! LOL I'm with Karen, guess I'll remain a closet dish junkie too. ;o)

Even tonight when our neighbor set out china plates for the pie and ice cream--I told her what a pretty pattern it was and could hardly refrain from turning it over to see who the mfg. was! Wanted to ask her if she had the whole set in that pattern, and would she like to show me her other dishes too? But I held my tongue--didn't want her to think I was too strange. LOL

Luvs, I think your neighbor would have been thrilled to have you compliment her china. Or ask about her other dishes. Wouldn't you be? I bet most folks never mention them no matter how pretty they are, just concerned with what's ON them. You don't have to tell her you set tables to take photos, LOL. Just tell her you love pretty dishes.
Might end up with a new convert for here someday.

Judith, I just love those ceramic shoes!!! Now I'll be on a quest for something like that at the yard sales the rest of the year.. Isn't it funny how something will just strike you as the cutest thing for an accent on a table?

I still haven't found my cloche, but still hopeful & looking!!! There has to be one woman out there who bought one & will put it out in her yard sale (doesn't there???)!!! LOL

Judith, I love the shoes. Especially the pink and green one, of course. ;~) I have a Halloween shoe that I love. Those candy necklaces will look really cute with your candyland Christmas theme. And what a great buy on the red flatware. I've been looking for red lately. I really like yours the best of any I've seen. I love the colors in your melamine dishes also. We want to see a table done with them please. ;~) And I have the same black and white "scarves" from Walmart. Great minds think alike! LOL It's never too early to buy holiday stuff. Luvs is right, if we don't get it when we see it it might not be there when we go back. I love those "Mom" looks. They work good.

Karen, Great buy on the PINK napkins. You have to get brave and do a table for us. With your Bordello you could do a little tea table. And thank you for defending me. LOL

And Kathleen, I am NOT the only "Pinkie" here. But, I will admit that if I had been there with Karen I would have been shouting, "Buy the pink napkins" LOL
