Something's Fishy Table..

{{gwi:1433134}}

Summer is fleeting, and I hadn't used my little shrimp napkin rings..so a little whimsical table..I have to use these "treasures" to justify keeping all this stuff!

The Dish Police are always at the ready to throw out these things I absolutely NEED!

Fish shaped glass charger, fish shaped dinner plate and bread and butter..blue and white striped napkin..

Dark blue cloth, lighter blue fish net, look closely, see it? :)..blue placemat

Lighthouse candle lights, the top opens so you can put a tealight inside, shells, white fish ramekins for the melted butter, sailboat salt and pepper shakers..and little shell candles..

And for dinner..grilled shrimp, sliced steak, and parmesan potatoes..salad..

Fresh fruit for dessert..

Wow! You have lots of "fishy" plates and accessories. Your blue cloth with the netting over it looks great too. I've always loved the clear glass plates, but they just don't photograph as well sometimes as they look in real life, do they? Love the lighthouses too--everytime I see a lighthouse pattern, I'm always thinking "I should paint that". LOL

You sure come up with a neat variety of foods to cook too--I can never think of what to cook! Now you've made me hungry for shrimp--hmmm, shall it be Richie's Diner for the shrimp basket or Red Lobster????? LOL

You are right, Luvs. Hard to photograph glass plates..or at least for me.
That's why I did the napkin that way, so they would show a bit more.
I think there is a special setting for glass, but I don't know which one!

Yes, you should do a lighthouse, your would be beautiful..
You did a great beach setting last year? I remember it was very cute!

I like that, Kathleen! Not only does the final tablescape look great, but using the blue tablecloth, etc., with the glass plates lends a wonderful, watery look to it!

Such cute napkin rings, Kathleen! No wonder you had to do a tablescape to use them. Love the fish plates and the lighthouses. Nice touch with the blue netting too!

    Kathleen,

I wish I liked fish, then I would collect all those great things that you have. I don't think I could put it together like you have, though. DH is an enthusiastic fly fisherman, but he knows better than to bring anything slippery and silvery in the door (he does catch and release).

    Great table!

Parmesan potatoes... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... bam! 2 pounds more for me! Thanks Kathleen ;-)

    By the way, great table!

There's a TV show here that is actually a contest between 5 people each and every week and called "An almost completed dinner" - which is probably a copy of an American show - if you were here you would for sure win the contest just with your meals and tablescape!

    Kathleen,
That is fishy! You sure know how to carry a theme - love all the details in your fish table setting. The S&P shakers are very cute. I like the lighthouse in your centerpiece too.

I love seafood - and your shrimp menu looks great! We just got back from Hawaii and we had the best shrimp we have ever had over there in a dingy trailer by the roadside - absolutely yummy though!

Very cute! That would be my most favorite meal to date...yum!!!

Mo, I've been to that trailer in Hawaii too--and you are right, the shrimp is so delicious! Had to drive on down the road to get cold drinks even! LOL

I'd be happy to have Kathleen cook meals for me, she comes up with so much variety and it all looks so delicious.

Luvs, thats so cool about you having shrimp at the trailer too. This time, they did have cold drinks - thankfully, because we ordered the really spicy shrimp. :)

I sometimes look back at other holidays and things too, it's fun to see all the things we've shared on here. Don't be a stranger, we love seeiing holiday and seasonal decor, and we like to share tablescapes, vignettes, and purchases of accessories like placemats, napkins, dishes, anything really in between the holidays. Wonderful table Kathleen...love all the accessories. Setting it all off with blue and the fish netting was a great idea. Those napkin rings are really cute. I agree it would be a shame not to 'show them off'.
You have so many beautiful things for each tablescape...I'm wondering how you keep track of it all.
I just got back from the Cape, and of course made some CTS purchases...now I'm thinking of how and where to store them w/o it getting too crazy. I've got things spread out all over.

Glad I had a chance to catch your table...by the way, I would have loved to see your meal on one of the menus at the Cape !!
