Outside Fall Decor

Hello, I usually hang out over at the garden junk forum, but wandered off over here and I love everybody's holiday decor and ideas. I got my outside stuff done this past weekend, but nothing inside yet. Anyhoo here are the pics.

Welcome Excessfroufrou! Thanks for sharing your fall decor with us here. Your outside fall display is fantastic! I love how it appears like you have built up the whole garden area around the scarecrow. Very colourful and fun! The wreath on your door is terrific too!

Oh Excessfroufrou, that is just charming. I'll bet you'll get your neighbors to be inspired to do some fall decorating, and just imagine the treat-or-treaters you'll get. Great job!

Hi Frou, nice to meet you..
    Your decos are beautiful..so cheerful!

Welcome to the Holiday forum froufrou, and what a nice way to introduce yourself with your pretty pictures! ;o) I started out on the GJ forum, and still check in over there frequently so I've seen some of your posts. Very cute scarecrow, and the flowers, gourds, pumpkins and that darling little wheelbarrow are perfect to go with him. Your amber glass totem and the pretty glass covered bowling ball fit right in too. Pretty wreath on the front door too, did you make it yourself too? Luvs

I'm so glad you posted your pics here, Excessfroufrou. Your house looks great at night and in the day light. The wreath is really pretty. - Gail

    Hi EFF,

Great decor. I love how it's lighted at night. I really like the wreath, too. Do you change that entry garden seasonally? It looks like the chrysanthemums are potted (they're beautiful, by the way). Do you leave the pots and put in evergreens for Christmas?

Hey there Frou, good to see you over here. Hope you noted there are Holiday Inspiration albums just like our GJ ones on Photobucket. Lots of eye-candy.
You sure know how to welcome Fall in. Very pretty and so colorful! I really like how you arranged everything.

That's a lovely decor for a yard! I too like the scarecrow a lot and will definitely make one for next year (don't have time to do it before the end of Oct this year unfortunately).

Well hello there, EFF, and welcome! As DD's already mentioned, you'rer building up the area around your scarecrow was such a great idea. It really makes the entire area pop. It will be fun to see more of your holiday decs as you get them up. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone for the nice welcome and sweet comments. Bonnieann, I get tons of trick-or-treaters, many make group pics with the display. Kathleen, I painted the scare crow a few years back, he is actually my 2nd one in the last 12 years. Lustocraft, I made the wreath a about 6 years back, just refresh it now it then and I found that wheel barrow and wood box in the trash. Valleymagpie, the pansies last here till May. The mums come out after Thanksgiving for some kind of Christmas display. I do a big Easter display there also. Thanks again everyone.

Welcome to the forum FrouFrou, I must say, this is one of the nicer outside displays I've seen. I love your use of the raffia hanging down from the wreath on the door. It just adds so much to the wreath! The colors are so vibrant in your display, excellent job. Is that one of your BB's in the front there? (the red globe), it looks fantastic.

    Syble,
Nice fall Welcome. I bet others enjoy using your back drop for photographing this time of year alright. Sounds like you welcome all to do so. I hang out over at the decorative and tole painting forum but stray at times and always enjoy. Do you still paint? Your scarecrow is pretty cute and I also enjoyed the bowling ball and glass totem.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Everything is so clean and neat looking. Punk

    Syble,
I'm new to posting here, too! I think your decorations are sooo cute! What are those dark brown pumpkins along your sidewalk made of? I really like those! Your wreath is lovely. I'm trying to make my own this year, too.

    Thanks again,
Craftylady, the red globe is a bowling ball I covered in glass globbie things, Phonegirl, I rarely paint anymore because I gifted everybody I knew and painted everything in sight,Cindylouhoo, those brown pumpkins lining the walk are some kind of ceramic I think, covered in a very realistic rust finish, I bought them at a GS for a $1.00 a piece.
