I was able to see and play with the 36" Miele induction at their customer service center in Wellesley, MA a couple of weeks ago. I had looked at many others, but think the Miele will offer far more functionality at a better price point, so it's the one I will be buying. It is slightly less intuitive than some others with less function, but I like the timers which turn off the burners, the pause function, the programmable features, etc. It also looks great. I was told they would be shipping next month, but check with your local Miele appliance dealer.

Have you checked out the new Electrolux induction ranges? They've got some pretty neat ranges currently on the market, including a model that claims to boil a large quantity of water in 90 SECONDS! Yes, you read it right...

Do you have one of the Electolux ranges? I really like the Diva but I am not willing to upgrade to a 36 inch range. Not to mention the price. I wish Miele would come out with a induction range but I don't see anything on the horizon.

I read that wrong. I don't see that the Electrolux Ranges come with induction.... Nevermind...

The Electrolux's are hybrids not full induction cooktops.

Electrolux does make a full induction cooktop (see link below), but the only range (as in includes an oven) that comes with an induction top is the Diva, and that costs $9,000+ USD.

We decided against the Electrolux when the mfr. told us we could not use pans larger than the burner size + 1" without voiding the warranty. We also did not like the stainless strip which separates the controls from the cooktop surface. Many people here do like them, however.
