Wow, Kathleen, those are stunning! It will be fun to see how you display them. If my brother had them, it would be in a nascar table setting.LOL

Here in NC those plates scream NASCAR. They'd be great for an Indy 500 table too. They're really cute.

LOL, I never thought of Nascar..I thought they looked like McKensie Childs...
So I'll be all set for the Daytona 500 in Feb??? I only know that one as we were usually on our way to Fla then, and see the race car fans on the road...

Harlequin...for Mardi Gras table? LOL, I'm trying.
Seriously tho, those are neat plates and a black 'n white setting is always stunning I think.

    That's a great idea, Karen..
I was thinking Halloween, and black and white anytime...

Oh, my! Those are great. Usually, a pattern like that only comes in "packs of eight" for $3.99. See. They're right over there. Next to the matching cups and plastic forks.
They're a kick. Wherever did you find them?

Those are beautiful. I was thinking Harlequin, too. I just couldn't remember that name. They would be great at Halloween or any other time, too! I love dishes!

    Thanks..they caught my eye too.
    OA, Home Goods....love that store!!

I love the black and white checks. I can hardly wait to see how you use them. I think they would be very versatile, but since I'm still a country girl at heart, I'm thinking something with roosters or even a "retro" setting.

I don't think all Home Goods stores are created equal--ours has more bright colors and asian things for some reason. I haven't actually drooled over any plates in there since the cabbage ones--have you been finding anything good in our's OA? Maybe it is just me! LOL

I did see some Halloween items that I thought were really cute when the decorations were first being put out--need to get back over there again soon.

All of these wonderful ideas just goes to show how "dish challenged" I am. I'm sitting here thinking hmmmm , black and white, what could I do with B/W, and coming up with blanks!! Y'all come up with all of these suggestions and Kathleen has already planned something that will knock my socks off!!

I need to go shopping! With y'all!!!

Kathleen, whatever ideas you had for the plates, you got a few more by posting the picture of them! LOL

I love Home Goods too, have to be careful in there, I want everything!!!

They'll be perfect for Halloween, can't wait to see your tablescape!!!

Kathleen, I saw those at Marshalls a few months ago but didnt get them. They totally reminded me of MacKenzie Childs style whimsical tablesetting. Its really interesting how so many people see the same plate and see it in different settings.

Kathleen..With those dishes in your 'Hot Little Hands'....I'm sure there will be MANY fun possibilities that lay ahead for them!!
I'll be part of the crowd, who will be looking forward to seeing them all.

Those are great, Kathleen! My first thought was "MacKenzie-Childs". I love pretty much everything they do. And, they actually have plates like that. I love black & white checks. It'll be fun to see what kind of tables you come up with using them.
