I have a Futuro Moon model, and it's plugged into an outlet between joists with a 3-foot extension cord. We didn't want to cut the plug, because having it plugged in would make it easy to disconnect if we need to.

thanks leo. I suspect the GC has something like that up his sleeve. Did you have to put in special ducting for the 'make-up' air issue? How wide ducting did you use for venting purposes?

we simply had an outlet installed in the area where the piece clips on to make it look like the pipe is running up into the ceiling. Their installation instructions indicated that was where the outlet should go and no extension needed.
