Help finding an old christmas tree thread

Well, you've all got me to start thinking about the holidays and I was trying to find an old thread from last year about how to "de-branch" a Christmas tree so that you could lay large groupings of ornaments on the branches. Does anyone remember it?? I've looked through dozens of pages of threads and can't locate it. TIA!

I think I remember seeing it done on a Decorating show on TV, but not on this forum.
For some reason I think it was on HGTV..maybe Joan Steffens show??

Kathleen, you're right, it was on HGTV! But I swear I saw a thread discussing the topic on the Home Decorating forum shortly after that. But we were in the middle of moving and I was delirious...so maybe I dreamed the whole thing!!! :) THANKS!

That looks interesting but their photos are sooo small it's hard to see the details.
