Pumpkin Plates

I went through one of my Fall bins and found these plates I had bought last year, post season...so I decided to use them for dinner...nothing special...just for the 2 of us..

I used my new pumpkin pans for the biscuits, the details show better on cake...

We had Shephard's Pie...

Such delish looking food to go with such a cool tablesetting, right down to the lit candles(which I always forget to do)!
Does your DH enjoy the trouble you go to making a pretty table?

I love it all! Did you make the tablecloth?
    Keep your table settings coming.

Thanks, Betty..he appreciates it. I think , he's not exuberant!!
OldAl, my friend gave me a lot of fabric...so I have been using it here and there. She gave me a roll
of a black plaid ...I am working on it..

Love those pumpkin plates, Kathleen. They are really nice with the leaves on them. Your little biscuits turned out so cute, and the casserole dish is great for your Shepherd's pie. All very pretty and festive. Luvs

Ohhh Kathleen, I LOVE those pumpkin plates! I think they are even better than pumpkin bowls. And what a surprise to see in the 2nd pic that you have a matching casserole dish! What is in the leaf dishes, they are great too! That is a totally terrific little Fall table for two, everything seasonal! Even the little knives by your fab looking biscuits have pumpkins on them! Adorable! Can you tell, I am impressed with all your fall accessories? Oh yes, and on top of all that, your Shepherd's Pie looks delicous too!

What a wonderful table! I've been waffling on buying a set of pumpkin salad/dessert plates for months now, and still haven't made up my mind (I want them, but can't decide whether to actually get them or not).

Your table looks lovely, and that pie looks scrumptious! Perfect fall dinner...

I just love those little pumpkin knife spreaders, they compliment your plates and casserole so well! And of course, your Shepard's Pie really raises the bar for most of us! Do you put it under the broiler to get the peaks browned? I'm always afraid to do that most dishes, don't know why.

What a nice Fall table setting Kathleen. It's so warm and inviting. Your pumpkin plates, matching casserole and accessories make it very special... not to mention the fabulous menu...looks so delicious!!

Thank you, thank you..I know it isn't grand, just a little weeknight fun..

Neesie, I never made Shepherd's pie before...and I piped on the potatoes and they got brown without the broiler...I didn't want my dish to crack! ( I just noticed I put an a instead of an e in the original post, my bad, :( )

The knife spreaders I got in Pfaltzgraff one year, marked down to like 35 cents. I tied them with ribbon to pumpkin breads as little gifts for the neighbors and friends. I got turkey spreaders too..Must have bought 40 of them combined! Too cheap to pass up..

DD, in the little leaf casseroles is spaghetti squash..

just a delightful fall setting - I love it - the menu sounds and looks scrumptious. We has a shepherds pie dinner the other night using tatertots as the topping instead of mashed potatoes - it would have looks so much prettier in a pumpkin bowl than the square cassarole :)......

OMG Kathleen, I LOVE your pumpkin plates! Where did you find them????

Catie, I got them in Villeroy and Boch last year after the season. They have them again this year five times more than I paid.

Those are wonderful pumpkin dishes, and the whole setting is very cute.

    hugs, Karen

Kathleen, the tablesetting alone would be my effort for dinner, then I'd "order out"!!!

You are just amazing, the tablesetting & every nite your menus are fantastic! I love the pumpkin plates, casserole & all the other little details!

    Your hubby should be exuberant!!

Kathleen your tablesetting is so cute, I love the pumpkin plates, I had seen some at Walmart and I was sooooo tempted, but had to hold back this time, I had already spent too much that weekend on Christmas goodies...I hate having to make choices on what to get, but Christmas stuff always pulls me in LOL

Kathleen, everything on the table looks really yummy. That casserole looks great!!

Judith, I saw the pumpkin plates too at Walmart - It was tempting but I am going to hold off until the end of season and see if they go on sale somewhere! :)

What a pretty Autumn table! I love your dishes and accessories. I made Sheperd's Pie just last night, but never thought to use any Autumnish table decs. You've inspired me!
I make Sheperd's Pie every few weeks in Winter and Autumn, but tried it for the first time last night using sour cream instead of milk in the mashed potatoes. OMG, I am never going back to the old way! The sour cream potatoes worked wonderfully with the shredded roast beef and gravy. Guess what I'm having for lunch today?

    Lynne, you're making me hungry!
I use sour cream in the mashed, even a bit of cream cheese if it's a company meal, but for "waist" reasons, I try to hold off on a regular basis. But even a bit of reduced fat sour cream is a help!
Yes, dig out those fall things. Before you know it Tgiving will be here, and then time to get out Christmas things..
