window trim

I was going to post under windows but it's more about the trim than windows.

Has anyone used Advanced Trim Wright window trim or anything like it to make a window look arched?

We are back to building again (the saga continues) and we were going to have three eyebrow arched windows but they are expensive so I was wondering if anyone has done trim like the picture I posted so it gives a regular window an arched look.

I've used ATW for their sill nosings but not for a top arched trim. The photo you show looks a bit odd to me.

My contractor cut our trim for our windows...requires painting....

thanks. what was it that looked odd?

It looks like it's all one piece that goes around the window instead of cutting different pieces to go around window but I'm not sure.

The installation drawing is shown below.

The sill in the photo looks too large and too long but without a window it's tough to tell and it may just be a sample mock-up in a small size.

Putting an arched head trim on a rectangular window is such a strong design element that it is something I would draw very carefully to scale on the elevations and make sure it was appropriate for the design and other detailing of the house. I always take extreme care with curved elements.
