small Christmas trees?

I am looking for 2 or 3ft realistic type Christmas trees? Feather possibly, not sure. Any idea where I can find some? We celebrate Christmas Thanksgiving when family comes home. I have been in bed with pneumonia for a month, second time in 4 months. I am thinking I would like to just put a couple of small trees with antique ornaments in my bay window this year. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Barb, and welcome to the forum. So sorry to hear you've had a couple bouts of pneumonia. Hope you have it beat now and can enjoy the holidays.

Most all of the stores have their faux Christmas trees out now. And believe me, you can get one in any color this year. I've seen pink, purple, and even black ones! As far as realistic looking ones, I'm not so sure, maybe someone else has a source they can share with you.

Good luck in your search, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

A few years ago I purchased a three foot in Walmart that is nice. You may want to look into the ones that come in two or three that can be inside or out. I think most stores carry them. I haven't looked at the Christmas things yet and my Target didn't have any out the other day. I try really hard to stay away because I have more than enough stuff.

Hi Barb. I think your idea sounds like it will be very pretty. Tho I'm very sorry to hear pneumonia is the reason behind it. Sure hope this bout is the last one for a long, long time. (I think you just convinced me to go get a pneumonia shot, I've been debating this year about it... tho I always get a flu shot.)
Michaels and Hobby Lobby always seem to have nice little trees IMO, I haven't looked at Walmarts yet this season.
I do small trees myself, just because I like to do different themes or colors. I'd love to see your antique ornaments, I am crazy about antique anything.

Hope you feel better, and that you post more with us and let us know how the decorating is going.

    hugs, Karen

Yes we would love to see pictures!! I would love to do a smaller tree. DH likes the bigger the better!!! It will take YEARS to get enough ornaments to cover the whole thing like Judith's!!
I hope you continue to get better.
Hobby Lobby has some nice ones as well.

Barb, I'm so sorry to hear you've been ill and hope you get it beat back into place soon. I can't help with a tree though and wish you luck finding what you want.

Luvs, I want a black tree. Where did you see them please?

Sandi, they are at Walmart! They have black ornies too! Luvs

Thanks Luvs. I've seen the black ornies and just keep looking and looking at them. So far I've been good and not bought any, but I don't think I'll hold out much longer. I've not seen the black trees though so I'll be sure to look tomorrow.

Kathleen said, "Spray paint is your friend....:)". LOL

A few years ago someone gave me a decent 6' artificial Christmas tree. I sat it outside, bent all of the little branches coming off the main limbs back so they were flattened and just let the last 3 branches stick out wildly and spray painted it black. It is now an outdoor Halloween tree and looks really wicked.
