Oh, how fun! You will get to "play" with someone else's ornaments and decorations. I love seeing other's decorations, don't you? Can't wait to see your pics, try to relax and enjoy yourself. Hi Kim and welcome!! How exciting for you and your SIL. I'm sure you guys will be very busy arranging and rearranging but remember to have fun too!! We have a Holiday House tour here in New England. It's in an Antique Center of town and usually the houses are all vintage and are done up Soooo beautiful. Friends come up from NY to join us on the tour. It's lots of fun, and we all love looking at what 'others' have done to their homes for the holidays. I'd love to see pics when you can post..just my 'cup of tea'. Again, glad you jumped in and joined us..looking forward to your posts.

Welcome Kim -last year was my first Christmas here and OH BOY are you in for a treat. Of course we are expecting to see your goodies and what you do at your SIL's place - what an honor. As you can see Christmas started early here on this forum :D - well I guess it never really goes away.....

Hi Kim and Welcome! I actually started on the antique rose forum. I kept getting depressed when I never got a single rose because of all the deer. Happened to click on Holidays one day and never looked back. I LOVE this place. I'm sure you will too. Please post before, during, and after pics. The more the better.

Okay, be gentle with me LOL. This is just a start. Realized after I looked at the pictures we have a long ways to go. But, we started with the trees and will go from there. Here is the tree from their great room. Sorry for it being out of focus. I will get a better picture this weekend. Also included are pictures of the entertainment center. This one is hard to decorate. I put the Merry Christmas sign in the one cavity. The Nativity set will go in the cavity across from this I think ?? Too many little areas. Tell me what to do here. Also the couch table is in this area. Also need help there. Just got a good start on it.

calico, I think everything is coming together beautifully. I'm not going to attempt to offer advice. I'm sure others more qualified will have some really good ideas for you. There are some gorgeous ornaments on that tree. It looks like yall are really having fun doing this also.

You've already made a good start on the decorating. She has a lovely home and some really nice Christmas decorations. Like Sandi, I'll let the more qualified assist with any additional ideas. This is fun getting to see the whole decorating process, I'm sure it is going to look wonderful for the open house tour. Luvs

I'm certainly no expert, but looking at the entertainment center, was thinking of using one theme for all of it. I see that big Santa on top, if she has enough different Santa's you could do all different types of Santa's in the small nooks!

That's a big job you've taken on, good luck & we'll be waiting to see all the finished pictures!
