Christmas Tree (pics)

I thought you might like to look at these pictures I have, My local Childrens Hospital

has a fund raiser to raise money for the hospital every year after Thanksgiving, They have businesses to donate a Christmas tree or a wreathe and you can buy the trees or wreathes.

I'm looking forward to going this year and taking lots and lots of pictures. lol

I'll be sure to take extra batteries.

Sorry for the poor pics, they were taken with a throw away camera.

this picture is of a ginger bread wreathe, I thought I had a ginger bread tree picture that went with it but I couldn't find it

This one is a candy tree

and this one a bear tree

Oh HOW FUN!!!! I absolutely LOVE that gingerbread wreath. That is definately going on my after Christmas shopping list....I've got the perfect place next to my gingerbread tree for one to go, and I actually think I have 2 strands of those gingerbread lights that are on that wreath. THANK YOU! Alex

I'm loving that candy tree! I've been thinking of putting a small tree on my kitchen counter in front of a window in an area that's not used regularly and i think that theme would be adorable there!

What a great fund raising idea! Are the tress different every year? Who makes the trees/wreaths, individual people or florists?

I think I could eat the whole wreath!LOL

You know after I got to looking at that tree, that "is" the ginger bread tree, because its from the same company and I see little ginger bread men sticking out of it here and there.
    so sorry,
Thank you ksoxgrl I think you will have lots of fun with that ,good luck

Thank you Alex I'm glade you liked it.I'm sure you will have a lots of fun putting your wreath together, don't forget to show us some pics when your done.

Patty cakes I'm not sure if the companies do them them selves,
I would say they probably get their local florist to do them.
No they are different trees every year. the trees are for sale, they are different prices 1,000 and up,the tree's are all sizes, so I'm sure those aren't as high. I just go to look at all of the eye candy. LOL
they do have some schools and 4H groups that have some trees there too,
theirs are really cute too because they have made all of the decorations them self.

they also have a ginger bread house competition.live
singing of Christmas songs and fun thing for the children to do.

I love that candy tree and would love to do one but don't have any more room for another tree.

A group used to do that here for fund raising for a handi-capped organization & they did it at the mall!

They had trees donated from different businesses & the businesses would decorate them, there would be trees down every hall of the mall, probably close to 75 trees.

I'm just sorry it was before this forum & now they don't seem to have anyplace that wants to house this event, so they don't do it anymore.

You would have loved all the trees. I remember one was all Barbie things & one was all red roses & pearls, another all disney, one was all hunting & fishing, gosh wish I had taken pics of them.

Hope you get lots of pictures to share with us.

I just checked & the Festival of Trees is back on for this year, so I will take lots of pics of all the trees & post them for "inspiration" for all!

What a fun tour, for a great cause. Such creative ideas. I too love the candy tree. I'm sure there must be lots of inspiration from looking at them all. Look how many got inspired here, by just looking at the pics...TFS

This candy tree is splendid! I ABSOLUTELY need one like that!

We have that Festival of Trees here too. Groups volunteer to decorate the trees, then they are sold for charity. It is an amazing sight.
Thanks for sharing that Pasula, I like that it goes for a good cause too...

Beautiful trees and wreaths - we have a similar situation here only with Hospice. I am going to get involved with them next year and make ornaments for one of the trees. I have used Hospice twice now - for my late husband and now my Mother is living with me under Hospice care. They do a wonderful service - it will be my way of helping out. Thanks for sharing your pictures.....
