Xmas table oops!

Just noticed I forgot the red chargers ( I know I didn't do napkins or flatwear yet) but I am aching all over, just like DreamGoddess.

DH helped me put away all the fall, what a job & then try to find all the things I bought last year for this table, haul up & down the stairs, I'm too old for all this!

Last year I did the blue/silver elegance table, this year it's all about the grandkids since we will not be going away for xmas.

I still want to find a grinch for the centerpiece & also redo a pic with my napkins & chargers, but you get the idea.

I also did my mantle but didn't get pics of that yet. The fall things sat since Friday morning in boxes, could not muster the energy to put it all away. My back has been bothering me, so I'm glad I waited to do it today with help!

The small gift boxes that show up very white in the pictures are from Gordman's in Champaign, Il. where I love to shop for goodies, they actually are light up & change colors but the camera makes them look stark white.

Plus pictures were taken tonite, with no outside light, will try again in the daytime once I get my charges & napkins out. Also, the dishes are the set of 8 Debbie Mumm that my son got me for Christmas last year. They also have bowls & cups & saucers but I used the whimsical mugs for the kids sake!

    Oh Lori!

WOW! I know those Babies are gonna LOVE this! I love it!

Your son 'DID GOOD' with that present, didn't he?

This is sooooo good! I LOVE the lime green placemats. And the way your centerpiece goes from one end to the other. It's ALL Grand! I can't wait to see the final picture. Do you know where you can find the grinch?

How exciting! I remember how much fun I had doing the Halloween table for my Gkids.

Now get some rest and give that back a break. You deserve it.

Your table is wonderful and your GK are going to love you forever for this one. I will look for a grinch but it may be hard to find. Some of the gals paint them on light bulbs but I don't have a pattern to paint one. Love the Debbie Mum dishes your son bought you. How Fun! Punk

    How cute...what a great job.
I agree your DGKs will love it...I know I do.
I like the color of your placemats too..they really go well with those pretty dishes. Your centerpiece is fun to look at and they'll enjoy drinking from those cute mugs.
Looking forward to seeing it completed..Good Luck on finding 'The Grinch'..

What a FUN table! Your grandkids will be lit up like Christmas trees themselves when they see it. What a super grandma they have!

I hear you on the back and age issues. Sure can hamper one when things need to get done. I hope you can rest your back and it feels better soon. Hang in there.

    hugs, Karen

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I agree with all of the above--your table is so pretty and fun. How neat that you were planning ahead for this year when you bought lots of the items--I'm really impressed by anyone who is that organized! Way to go Yachter! ;o)Luvs

I'm just loving the colors of your table! Lime green is one of my favs. Everything looks so FUN and the Debbie Mumm plates are wonderful. Your DGC will love it! Hope you find the Grinch soon, that will be the clincher!

IKWYM about age and bad backs, but glad you have a DH who helps. I'd never get anything done without my DH's help. Take it easy for awhile and rest on your glory! :-)

The lime green placemats were at Penny's last year & I waited til after xmas, hoping they'd have some left and they did. They were originally $11.99 each & after marked down to $2.25 each. Don't know if you can tell, but they have silver threads running thru them.

Thanks for all the nice compliments, I love that lime green color & was so happy to see it being used in xmas decor, that I just had to do a table with it!

I will be posting the finished product, hoping daylight pics show off the colors better & also my mantle pics.

I can't wait to see everyones xmas decor!!!

love your table - what a fun kids table. I know they will enjoy eating there. Those Christmas trees are the coolest things - I got the all silver mirrored ones but love the looks of the multi colored They fit in perfect with your setting.

I can only echo the aches and pains as each year passes. Aleve is my friend this time of the year. I was up and down on the step stool alot yesterday and sure feel it today but I still love to decorate. I too am looking forward to everyones decorations this year .....

Cute and fun pretty much says it all!. The colors just really click. I love the mirrored trees. Age isn't a issue with me yet, but I'm still sore from all the packing and unpacking. I hope to get some pics posted soon. Thanks for showing your table to us.

Yachter, you did a great job, I love all the bright colors, it looks like such a happy table you really carried out the color theme very well, I know the kids have to love it! I know what you mean about the achy body, it took a while to take down all the Fall stuff, and now I have all the Christmas stuff out all over the house....waiting. LOL

That is such a fun table! I just love the lime green, and the centerpiece is super! I've been on the lookout for some of those mirrored trees. I had not seen any multicolored though. Yours add so much to your table. I picked up those lime green and red present ornaments last year from CB to give as presents for teachers. They are so cute! Oh, and that cute pom pom garland - perfect accent!

Yachter, I really like the color scheme, the apple green with the Christmas red. It will look even better with the red chargers and if you find the grinch it will be perfect. I'm sure your grandchildren will love it. - Gail

Thanks all for the compliments, I think mine always looks better in person than in pictures, the gkids love it & that is what is important.

I need to get out for napkins, but have been dealing with this leg pain from my back, so no desire to wade thru stores right now!

    Yachter,

Just like everyone else, I think it's adorable! Love the colors and of course your DGKs will love it. What wonderful memories you are building for them!

Leg pain from the back? Sounds like sciatica and I can sympathize--been there, done that. Take it easy.
