You said: I am babysitting the new 3 month old DGS for the first time tomorrow. I may do nothing but hold him and kiss him to death!!

Oh, a little baby -- how sweet. I just love to hold them, too.

To keep this holiday related, do you have a little Santa hat for him to wear? He could be your centerpiece!

Enjoy DGS,

Lee

Lee, you nailed it. I'd put a little Santa hat on him and tell his folks to come back Christmas morning and I MIGHT be willing to put him down.
Betty, you lucky woman, enjoy your big blessing in the tiny package!

    hugs, Karen

I read Betty's comment too, but got so busy with Karen's goodies that I forgot to comment. Betty, enjoy every minute you can with that little bundle of joy--we all know they grow up way too fast! ;o) Luvs

    Lee, Karen, & Kay,

Whew! I'm out of practice! The 12 year old and 6 year old spent the night. She brought the baby at 5:15 this morning. I haven't gotten my nerve up enough to keep him all night. The wee ones always sleep between us and I don't sleep at all because if they move or make a sound I'm making sure they are ok. Yes, I'm the type that worries about every little thing and can't stand to hear a baby cry.

The older ones are up, fed, dressed, and walked to the bus. The baby has been fed, burped, changed several times, and is back down doing what babies do best. And I'm whipped! I think I am going to need some B-12 shots or something if I'm going to do this very often!

But, it's fun. I just have to get back in the groove. I'm still a little short on the oxygen levels. Most everything is back to normal but the lungs, so I tire easily.

    Thanks for the encouragement!

I know what you mean, Betty. With the last couple of babies in the family, I realized why *young* people have kids.
One of those, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, things. After a little while, I am the one ready for a nap. lol

Take care, and don't over-do, especially with the holidays coming up. It takes more time than we want to admit to get recuperated from the flu. (Sorry, I just have to act like a mommy when someone is/has been sick.)

Betty, I'm sooooooo jealous, I would give anything for a grand baby. Enjoy the holidays with him and them and get some rest when they leave.

Thanks Lee, I lost my Mama in 98, so I can use some Mothering (can't we all?). I have a close lady at church who Mothers me and DD does a great job when I'm sick. She is a great Blessing to me.

Syble, It was a long time getting here, but once she started, she has given us a boy every 6 years! I think she has finally accepted that her DH can't make anything but boys and will learn to live without a daughter. I grieve for her because I know what a Blessing she has been to me and I would love for her to have a daughter when I am gone.

But, kids and grandkids are something we can't control. We have to take what we get or don't get and trust God who knows more than we do. They come with their own unique set of heartaches as well as blessings. I don't know your circumstances, but I pray you can get that Grandbaby.

    Betty,

Wonderful reading about your fun with the GK's. They do have alot of energy and we don't. My GD goes to dance and gymnastics and is always wanting me to do cartwheels and other things I'm no longer able to. Last weekend she finally told me I could just sit there and PREYEND I was a BOY (cuz BOYS don't know how) while her and her DM showed me what they do. I told her I wasn't a boy and she said I know that's why your pretending. We all laughed so hard it was great.

I wish your DD had a DD also but DIL can be special if we let them. I don't have a DIL but have been very close to all of DS girlfriends. When it comes to DIL, one has to think outside the box. I feel very blessed to have a DD and GD but love my DS just the same.

Lee, so true, I realized why *young* people have kids.

Syble, I hope that you have the please of getting a grand baby someday. If not there is so many willing to share. I take care of some of my DD friends little ones over night when they need someone.

Betty, if you take a picture with a Santa hat we need to see! Like Luvs said, they grow up way too fast! It was nice to get my computer back so I could enjoy all of you again. Hope it stays up and running for me.
