The chandelier is a brass 12 arm on two tiers.

The middle is filled w/red hydrangea picks I got a case of a few yrs back - but any pick of your choice could be substiuted.
Unfortunately the online source I used no longer sells them.

Jim, your chandelier is simply gorgeous! I love how you draped the beaded garland...I hope you don't mind if I borrow this idea from you. I can't really tell from the photo, but how did you attach the picks in the center?

They were basically held in place by a compression fit, meaning one pick could be wedged in between the arms and stay in place and that would hold others above or below it when they were shoved into place.
If need be I also twisted the picks wire stem around and thru the scrolls on the chandy too.

Here's how the chandy normally looks to give you a better idea.

An alternative would be - just put a wire loop around the core to attach picks underneath it,

I haven't done mine yet. I usually put garland, some picks, ornaments and then hang some angels down the arms. Still looking through all my stuff.

I have a very farm-housey looking 5 light fixture and I pretty it up with hanging balls then I bought some poinsetta garland from Michaels and cut it to go around the center post and drap a little. I will probably tuck in some greens before I am done playing around. I will get pictures in the nex couple of days ....

Jim, Your chandelier is gorgeous and I love the way you decorated it for Christmas too. Can't wait to see everyone else's pics of theirs.

This was my diningroom chandelier last Xmas and it is done pretty much same this year too.

Here's a pic of mine. I ususally have shades on the fixture, but I take them off at Christmas. Just something a little simple.

Karen & luvtoweed, Both of your chandeliers are decorated very nicely. And love the tree in one background and carousel horse in the other. Karen, I have 2 carousel horses. One is finished and in the backyard on a lamp post at the end of a path leading to the shed. The other is in progress and I am going to use it on the inside.

You guys have me thinking about decorating mine now!

This is my decorated dining area light - not a chandelier so I keep it pretty basic. I did start out with hanging crystals but that just didn't look right so I changed it to the Christmas balls. I like this much better given the style of light. I will probably wrap garland up the chain.....

Lynne, the ornaments were a good idea and look very colorful. I'm seeing a huge doll collection in the background, is that one of your passions? And your couch looks very similar to mine too by the way.

I don't have a decorated chandy to share since I haven't done anything to mine yet. Two rooms still full of boxes of stuff still waiting to be "placed". I'd better get with it! LOL

Sandi, I have an old Wonder Pony from my grand-daughter that I plan to make a carousel horse of, and decorate for the holidays. Will sit on front porch or in entry way I think. My big horse is a full-size reproduction of a Dentzel Prancer, I just love him. Tho its probably nuts to have a horse in the living-room, LOL.

I got my kitchen chandelier decorated, let a piece of the garland leaf lay on a lightbulb and melted to it. Stinky! At least I didn't set it on fire, LOL.

check HGTVs website for their 'top 25 new CH decorations' from their viewers. One lady used wreaths on hers and was really nice. I just put garland of stars around mine and hang snowflakes and icicles from it. Sometimes snowman. I have some that light up blue and it looks really nice. I put pine garland up the chair and add ribbons and or decorations. No handy pics tho. all of the above are great.

Oh my goodness, these are all beautiful. I usually put some artificial greens and some gold ball ornaments on mine, but it makes it dark, so this year, actually just today, I hung some gold ornaments and some little crystals. I'm so drawn to some of these, though that I may start over, if I ever get everything else done. - Gail

Kathleen, your's looks beautiful just the way it is so don't worry about the painting--it will give you a project for the new year when things slow down a bit.

Here is my chandy...my ornaments are not hung at the proper heights.... my 17 year old son has informed me that my fishing line is not the proper quality (as can be seen in the photos)......I TRY! :) Note....my 17 year old son, just sees the fishing line...not the decorations......I had to make that clear, otherwise, he might not think too much about his mamma.....

Luvs, my DH climbed up and hooked the garland to the top part and then I wrapped it around and around while he held in place. I thought I was laying it inside the lights and then smelled the leaf burning where I'd draped it over a light instead. LOL.

So many pretty chandeliers here in this post, makes me wish I had one in every room. LOL.

Sheesharee - Actually the beads swag came that way, but could easily be made.

They're three strands of beads each shorter than other... so they swag and attach to rings at the end. They would be easy to make.
I think orig they were designed to use on a tree like a swag beaded garland, the rings at each end would attach to branches.

I guess a good analogy is they're like a pearl necklace w/mulitple strands that drape but connect to the clasp as the ends. so I just used wires to attach end to candle cups on chandelier
I've used them between sconce arms as well.

Kathleen - Those plaid shades were a great buy, I think I was able to get just enough to do my chandelier at a 90% off after Christmas sale.

Lynne, I think the ornaments on your chandelier are just the right touch. I love your yellow dining area. I'm going yellow in my kitchen as soon as DH is ready to start in there. I love your decorations in the background also.

Alex, your first pic is so pretty with all the decorations against your dark wall. Love the garland and lights around the mirror too, and I love those hanging berry strands you used on your chandy.

Bright, I love your chandy too. It has a simplicity to it that makes it stand out. It looks like it might have been difficult to get the red beads to hang evenly. Some tips please on how you got them to hang.

Mine came with the house, but I like it okay. My decorations on it are pretty simple, but I have my pedestal punch bowl full of ornaments below it so didn't feel I needed too much on it.

Luvs, that's a beautiful chandi!!!! Mine came with the house as well. It has glass globes but I broke one cleaning it awhile back so I just took them all off. I have a new one someday dh will get it installed until then the crystals are goin on the tree!! LOL!!

Sandi the beads do not want to stay in place!!! Once they were about right I took some wire and wrapped around each section to keep them in place. It's one strand of beads just went around twice. Wrapping the strand around each arm of the light twice each time.

I'm thinking about using some more of the ribbon to wrap the chain from the ceiling.

Thanks, Bright. My family didn't like it, think they thought it too much, but I like it fine. Good you thought to use some fine wire on your beads, they stayed draped just right.

Sandi, you have good eyes! I had to look to see what you meant. Those are my two favorite santas because they are pink! I'll take a closeup pic and post it so you can see them better. Luvs
