Help us pick appliances

I posted this on the kitchen forum not realizing there was an appliance forum. We have picked our cabinets (Cabico white beaded inset) and the design is complete. We have to pick appliances at this point. We sure could use some help because it all seems very overwhelming. This is what we are thinking

36" INDUCTION COOKTOP: We are looking at Bosch, Thermador and Electrolux. I know there are a couple of different models.

30" DOUBLE WALL OVEN:CONVECTION: Against we are looking at Bosch, Thermador and Electrolux.

24" Fully Integrated DW ready for panel: Lookint at Bosch, Thermador and Electrolux. We had a Bosch in our last house and loved it.

36" Fridge: French Door bottom Freezer: We have no idea on this one.

Please help us with your thoughts, ideas and experiences.

We have been checking prices at stores and online. Has anyone purchased online? Is is better to seek a package deal at a local store? I know the above manufacturers also offer mail in rebates if you buy 3-4 appliances.

Thanks for the help.

For the fridge, check out the Samsung RFG267ABPN or RFG297AAPN (these are Platinum versions, but they also come in SS/white/black). I am pretty excited about this fridge - I don't have it yet (or the house it will go in), but it has all the features and a good rep here.

Also, you may want to check out the GE Profile, GE Monogram and/or the Kenmore Elite 36in induction cooktops. I am curious, too, whether people will recommend buying online (especially from theinductionsite).

In general, I think most people here would recommend against buying everything from the same manufacturer since no one manufacturer seems to do everything well.

The Monogram ZET2 ovens have good reports hereabouts. I would have them on my shortlist.

There have been a lot of reports that the Thermador ovens have really loud fans. You may want to check whether this is an issue with the specific ovens you're considering.

36" Induction Cooktops = Wolf, Wind Crest, Diva, Gagg, Fagor, Siemens, Miele, KitchenAid, Viking (including a hybrid), Heartland, Jenn-Air, & Kupp. The Wind Crest, Fagor, GE Profile, GE Monogram, KitchenAid, and Electrolux Hybrid models come frameless.

We just installed the following appliances

Refrigerator Samsung french door full depth ss water/ice
    in the door RFG297AARS
Double Conv. Oven Bosch HBL 8650 UC
    Dishwasher Bosch SHE 68M05UC
    Microwave Bosch HMV 9305

All in stainless steel. We decided on the Samsung based on features and product customer acceptance. The Bosch dishwasher on it's reputation and customer acceptance. The double oven was based on 4 factors, first to carry the Bosch consistency as much as possible (contrary to the prevailing opinion of many on this forum) and the salesmen's comment that the Bosch convection oven is essentially the same as a Thermador (made by Bosch). Also since we were not replacing our cooktop at this point the Bosch ovens complimented the granite countertop and the existing cooktop very well. Finally and least importantly (we only found out after our decisions were made) there were manufacture rebates available that escalated with the number of units purchased. However based on our total spend this was a very small factor.

These were our reasons. You may find these of value but your decision needs to be based on your priorities and preferences, not other's.

    After 1 week reactions
Ref is great but will need to get use to two doors (seems like everything I look for is on the otherside from the door I open). Oven only used once so far and was quiet and quick to preheat. Dishwasher is ultra quiet, everything came out about as dry as our previous Whirlpool (cups with rim on bottle are problematic for drying). Dishes sparkled and wash cycle was about 110 min. total for a full load.
Microwave has some differences in the touchpad but functions well (hay it's a microwave).

Biggest dissappointment so far is the inconsistence in the LED screen colors (this is a bit distracting) with the Samsung in blue, the Bosch microwave in blue/green and the other 2 Bosch appliances in amber. Something to consider if the appliances ane near each other.

    Hope this helps a little.
