Outside Lights Pics

Well, I have most of my decorating done, I still have to do the mantel and a few loose ends here and there. Finding time to post is the problem, but I'll try to post a few at a time. The penguins and snow are really cuter from the street, but I'm just not the photographer some of ya'll are. My Santa is a vintage paper door Santa that I decopodged to a board years ago. My pink tree in the bay window doesn't match the outside lights, but it matches the room inside.

Syble, I love that Santa. decoupaging him was a great idea.

From what I can see of the tree indoors, it looks like you like lots of lights, we always went for max lights but we've switched to LED's in the larger size, still use lots though. Your yard looks great. - Gail

Cute, cute, cute! Looks like you live on Reindeer Lane! LOL

I think your photography is just fine. I have a lot of trouble taking night pics of lights.

Your decorations are cute and so festive.

I love love love your Vintage Santa. That was a great idea to decopage him and also 'preserve' him.
I hope he's fully protected by the weather.

I've got one that was a store sign backed with cardboard, and he lights up.
I don't use him much, because he's so old and very fragile...but I love looking at him..

I agree, night shots are very hard to take, at least I find them to be.

Syble, your on top of things now. So nice to see your outdoor decorations. Love your santan I'll bet the snowmen on top of the snow drift look great from a distance.

I agree taking pictures is not always easy. We have gotten rid of alot of our old outside decorations. We had 9 candles that used lg light bulbs and also the large Christmas lights for years and they finally were so brittle we had to throw out 1-2 every year. I don't think we have any now but I use to love them. You could see our place for miles. TFS

    Syble,

I love to drive by houses decorated like yours. Like everyone else I like the vintage Santa--so much more artistic than the modern ones, don't you think? I love him as a "door greeter!" Good job.

Those penguins on the snow hill are just adorable! And I have to agree with what the others have said about you decoupaging the Santa. Great idea. He's wonderful.

You are a dynamo, you related to Punk by chance? LOL.
If I did the outside of my place, I'd still be decorating come Easter.

Thanks everyone, you are (I am trying to stop using ya'll) so sweet. Magpie, like you, I love driving by lighted houses and we usually make a trip or two dedicated to just that because I know how much work it takes. And it is really nice to come home from work every night and see the lights. DH makes sure their on and the trees inside are all lit, because he gets home before me.

    Syble,

The pink tree in the window is my favorite! The vintage Santa is beautiful. You have soooo much talent! What a great idea to save him in a more permanant way.

Susie, Your lights are very nice. I bet it is really pretty when everything is turned off but the lights.

I especially like the lighted arches that are inside, but can be seen outside.
