what do you call comfortable earth tones with shabby chic family room style

I love shabby chic but I live with 2 teenagers. I want it homey.. comfy earthy tones but with touches a shabby chic as well just cant have to white and foo foo.. I have a large dk green microfiber secional but Im tired of it.. what do I get I want anohter large sectional and sick of medium green walls help

I have two photos from your idea book. First one is not shabby chic, but is possible with the teens. The second one is possibly what you really want. So there's the rub!
