Installing a frameless mirror using clips

My shower door installer has offered to cut my old mirror down to a size I want for free, so to save money I'm going to use that as a frameless mirror. I wanted to dress it up just a bit, so I bought these clips from C. R. Laurence: http://www.crlaurence.com/crlapps/showline/offerpage.aspx?Productid=37823&GroupID=19170&History=39325:1491:2263:2674&ModelID=19170

They didn't come with any instructions and I haven't been able to contact the company. Has anyone used these type of clips before? Would four of these clips be enough for a mirror that is 30" wide x 36" tall, or should I use mirror mastic as additional support?

Does anyone have any other advice or opinions before I try to put a mirror up with these? I haven't done much research on this (I usually research things to death), as I was originally going to go with a medicine cabinet.
