Shopped a bit today

Stopped at Big Lots on my way to meet a friend for lunch today. All the Christmas items are 50% off. I got one of the velvet poinsettia swags for $3.50 (there are seven big velvet poinsettias on it.) and another one with silk holly for the same price. Bought a few spools of ribbon and the cutest little dish towels with cookie recipes on them and a little cookie cutter attached marked down to $1.00 apiece. Thought they would be a good add on with neighbor gifts next year. I think I will go back again later to see if it's marked down even more.

For all you village people, they had packages of the bottle brush trees on sale. Several different sizes in one package.

Happened by this blog, and she had bought some of the trees at Big Lots and bleached them white. Tab down the page to find her post about doing it. Thought some of you might be interested in the idea. Luvs

Ohhh I loved her site. And I thought it was quite interesting on Bleaching the Bottle Brush trees. I'm going to give it a try, as they are really pretty. Also Loved the Christmas Corsages... I remember when I was young girl, we used to buy them every year, and they were so beautiful that it was hard to chose one. Nice website...thanks Luvs.

You did well, Luvs!
I will save those sites for after Cmas when I have time..
I never thought of bleaching those trees, I figured they would fall apart!
Thanks!
