The high hung shower curtains are probably extra-long ones, which are not easy to find but do exist. For a decorative one you may need to have the curtain custom made. They work perfectly fine for "normal people's" ;-) showers as long as the bottom is at least 2" below the top of the tub side or (for a separate shower) just skimming the floor of the shower pan.

What kind of a look do you want for your bathroom - Zen simplicity? Vintage or cottage or "Pottery Barn" white-on-white-on-white? Multilayered drapery look? Funky and "whimsical"? Is there a "theme"? Special color scheme? Do you have limitations like "no vinyl" due to chemical sensitivities? (Not all vinyl SCs are those nasty cheap flappy things, and if you want something whimsical but inexpensive it's often very much the way to go.)

I can't get a really good picture of it because of the angles but mine is a simple thin white cotton (Watershed, available from Plow & Hearth) - I chose that one because it dries very fast and so can be pushed back pretty quickly to show off my nice tile. It is weighted so it doesn't billow around the way some people insist their curtains do (although I can't say I've ever had that problem).

Here's the best picture I can get. Sorry it's so dark, it's a pretty dark room (north side of the house, heavily shaded).

i hung up 2 shower curtains in my bathroom.

the outer rod with the decorative curtain i hung up higher.
the inner rod i hung up a vinyl curtain i placed lower.

when the outer curtain is closed you can't see the protective vinyl curtain or the showerhead.

:)

Have you tried the curved shower rods? They are so great and really do make you feel like you've got so much more room. They come in different finishes, even oiled bronze. Doesn't require any special curtain, and to me actually dresses up the area.

Also, I ordered a beautiful Croscill Royal Paisley shower curtain and guest towels online from Royal Home Fashions www.rhfashions.com. Order was delivered within 2 days.
