On the round, bowl shaped vessel sinks you can place a ring on the bottom to hold it a bit off the counter to make it easier to clean around it. What do you do though with the square or rectangular vessel sinks as so much of it is in contact with the counter. There's no way to lift it off the counter to clean under it, and water will get under it while using it or cleaning the counter, and provide a place for mold, and standing water might corrode the counter. Is it just sealed with a bead of silicone caulking that you don't see. I love the look, but it doesn't seem very sanitary.
