Here's a cautionary tale. A few years back I ordered a cheapo stand-alone induction 'hot plate' to try out induction. I ordered it from a place called Instawares. They charged my credit card and said the item would be shipped ASAP.

To make a long story short, they did NOT have the item in stock and it would be out of stock indefinitely. I was a bit peeved when they originally said they had one when they didn't, but, okay, fine. I asked them to credit my credit card account back for the amount.

It took over FOUR MONTHS to get that taken off my credit card, and only after I threatened to go to the state Attorney General. Needless to say, I won't be buying as much as a box of toothpicks from Instawares.

This may be relevant in that at one time a purchase through the Induction Site linked you to Instawares. If this DIVA you are considering is being processed by Instawares, by all means run, do not walk, away from that purchase. If it is being handled by some other Internet merchant, do your due diligence and check out the reputation of that merchant prior to consummating the deal. And if you can discern that they are merely charging your credit card and having the item drop-shipped to you, really think long and hard about whether or not you want to do it. Sure, Internet sales can sometimes be real money-savers, but if you're dealing with a less than forthright operation, the savings ain't worth the hassle.

This is not to put down the Induction Site, nor whoever they direct you to in order to complete the transaction--just a little bit of 'caveat emptor' can go a long way. Good luck.

I appreciate the advice. Im surprised that I haven't had more responses re: ordering from DIVA or induction site as there was a lot of chatter in months previous.
