Sorry, I didn't get a good picture of the tile. The picture of the tub has a bit of tile showing to at least see the color.

Surround tile should coordinate with floor tile colorwise. Think about the direction you want to go, modern or traditional or transitional, etc... Browse through some ideabooks and decide what you like. If your plan is to fix up and resell in 5 years, then stick to a more updated, modern theme.

Great to have 2 sinks, paint the cabinets, and add storage in the middle section unless you like the open vanity. If you have never tiled before, go to a demonstration at a big box store and learn about the tools you will need, especially if you want to make angled cuts, as it makes the design more difficult. Larger tiles have fewer grout lines to fill, so consider that and cleanability for the future.
