Awkward Bathroom

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have an awkward bathroom :) I know you all have great advice so here is my situation. We plan on building a new house next summer and sold our old one. We bought a foreclosure house to live in in the interim time. We may sell this house when we get done building but we may also rent it out. This house is in a very small town. It's actually so small its technically a village so trendy isn't really a priority and neither is top of the line or anything like that. We want it to be nice but we also don't want to do anything more than what we need to.

To begin with the room is skinnier than normal. There was a little alcove that the end of the tub went into so the room isn't even as wide as a tub.

Here is what it looked like on the backside in the living room.

There was no shower above the tub.

We can't move the whole wall back because the door into the living room sits right at the edge of the wall and if we moved the bathroom wall we would have to tear out a whole other wall to move the entry to the living room and since this is a temp house we really don't want to do that.

What we've done so far is tear out all the existing tile and drywall and the wall out behind the tub up to the next stud and re-framed in a new wall.

Put in plumbing for a shower

and put in an all vinyl obscured glass window and new insulation.

Another awkward thing about the bathroom is that there isn't a way to make a larger vanity but there is a lot of space between the toilet and tub. We can't move the toilet over because with the wall being moved in and the room being skinnier it would be hard to get in and out of the shower with the toilet right beside it.

Sorry bathrooms are so hard to get good pics of.

Here is where we are right now.

The plan is to finish the wall behind the tub, redrywall, tile around the tub area, put new flooring in and build some sort of cabinet/storage over the toilet and beside it between the toilet and tub for towels, etc. Then decorate of course. But since we are at demo stage I just thought I'd see if anyone had any good ideas of something to do to make it less weird.

Sorry if this is long and/or confusing. For a better understanding you can go to my blog.
