We had a KitchenAid fridge in our previous kitchen, and the icemaker stopped working. We had two different repair people out, and neither one was able to find the problem, let alone repair it. A few months later, we had a power outage (a two day outage), and when the power came back on, the icemaker started working! It continued working flawlessly until we remodeled the kitchen a year later. Anyway, it probably wouldn't hurt to try flipping the breaker off and back on.

Water line is frozen somewhere. pump is bad, water pressure dropped to below tolerances.

You could buy individual parts, but a better solution might be to replace the icemaker as a unit. I replaced mine with little difficulty for a little over $100 with parts from aforementioned "repairclinic."

My neighbor had a reputable technician come out and replace his broken icemaker just last week and it would have cost 3 bills, if he would not have had a service contract.

hey-i just moved from ga to fl and my unit was in storage for 2 months-it was working great before we left-I plugged it back in and the water dispenser(in the front where the ice dispenser is)is working great-i ran about 5 gallons through it to make sure no air is in the line-I checked the laser to make sure nothing is blocking and made sure the ice maker control is on as well---it seems as if no water is going up the line in the back (which is to the ice maker part-I think)What should I do-I have unplugged the unit and my next step was going to be pull the pump out and make sure all lines are empmty and try again???????????????????????????thanks for your help

antss is right. My first guess is the water line is frozen because this happens to us every now and then. Recently, I put a hair dryer on low right inside the unit where the water comes out of the back wall. In about five minutes or so, it thawed it enough for it to start draining or melt the ice. I hope that's all it is.
