colorful ranges

Hi. My next 36 inch range with its beautiful hearth style hood is going to be a centerpiece, so I am pretty sure I want color. (I really don't like large slabs of stainless steel - not cozy.) I found Viking VGIC and Bluestar RCS have colors.

It looks like Dacor, Vulcan, Imperial, Premier and Garland do not have colors. The Jenn Air oiled bronze doesn't seem to come in a 36 inch. Kitchenaid has some black, but I don't see a 36 inch 6 burner range (seems odd?).

Am I missing any brands that have a 36 inch six burner range that isn't white or stainless?

Yep, probably the "Best Stove" that will soon be out (Sept-Oct 2010)---The "Capital Cullinarian".

More than likely it will be more reliable than the Blue Star, and certainly better service , (In the event you ever need it).

I'm Not a "Gasser" myself, except for my "Patio DCS" (I love my Induction)--but----Were I thinking along your lines, The Capital Cullinarian would be my choice!

If you like retro looking stuff:

Ilve - Italian brand

Heartland - Some very retro styles but also some professional variations.

You want cozy? Then Heartland* or Bertazzoni Heritage is what you want. You want a lot of available colors, I think Berta's Professional line and Ilve have more options.

Good luck, post some pictures when you're done!

*of course, 7 grand for what looks like an Amish cookstove is a mystery to my own 'design aesthetic.'
