h2o vacum

I have seen these advertised on tv. They use water as a filter.I looked them up on thane.com, they sell them. Has a 1200 watt motor and 60 cfm of suction, whatever that means. Are they any good or just junk? I saw a Rainbow vacum at someones home years ago, in the 80's. They were supposed to be good for people w/allergies but cost around $1,800. Has anyone ordered one and what do you think of it?Is the floor vacum a powered head or does it just spin by suction?... I just looked up, the powered head is powered by "air" and is $20 extra. I have a feeling this thing is a piece of junk.

I've also seen the one on TV but don't know anything about that particular one. I friend had one a number of years ago - probably the one you speak of from the 80s. Most of her family were very allergy prone and she was extremely happy with it. She always keeps up with her home - not always having the best, but always having the most efficient. I'm sure if it didn't work for her, she wouldn't have raved so much about it.

I've never seen one anywhere other that hers, and the one that is now being advertised. I just bought a Dyson, which was more pennies than I wanted to spend (but GLAD I did). If I had a few more pennies, I probably would look into the H2O vac since my friend had so much success.
