Sharp Drawer Micro in Seattle

Can anyone tell me the best place to see (and buy) a Sharp drawer microwave in the Seattle area. Any other recommendations in the choice of design (manual or automatic drawer) or size would be greatly appreciated. I can't buy these here in Canada yet. Thanks a lot.

I bought mine at EXPO. There should be an EXPO in Seattle. I bought the 24" because it is going in my island and I wanted to take up the least amount of cabinet space. If they had the manual version in 24", I would have bought that, but the 24" only comes in the automatic. The reason I would have chose the manual is because I don't like the fact that Sharp has designed the automatic one with a handle on it. If you are suppose to open it by pushing the button, then why a handle? Seems stupid. Just an oppertunity for my son or husband to keep pulling it open and eventually brake it. But, the 30" took up to much cabinet space, so the 24" automatic is what I had to go with.

If you are pairing your microwave with your oven, then the 30" makes sense, so that your microwave is the same size as your oven and you do not need a trim kit. The 30" is the same size as the 24", it just has a bigger drawer front attached to it so that it matches the size of a 30" oven.

No EXPO here in Seattle. I've listed some of the better known greater Seattle area appliance stores below. I can't recommend or warn against any of the stores as I haven't ordered appliances yet, but these are some I've come across - some I've actually visited. I imagine most of them would carry the sharp. Good luck

Tri State Distributors in Kent (a suburb) has them live; I wouldn't imagine that they have the best price, but who knows?

See if you can find the website of some sort of builder's association in Seattle. Perhaps they have their members and associate members listed. This is how I found my appliance dealer who happens to cater mostly to contractors, but also deals with joe public (with spectacular pricing I might add!).

FYI - My appliance rep called me the other day to let me know he talked to a Sharp rep who told him the manual 24" models are now available. However, I haven't seen any updates on Sharp's website, but he assured me the info came from someone at Sharp. Just thought I would pass along the info.

Since you are in Canada and are considering going to Seattle(I'm assuming, like me, you are in BC), why not try DeWaard and Bode. They are in Bellingham-much closer than Seattle-and their web-site says they carry Sharp.

Dannie Gal- I wish I would have talked to you over the weekend. I just ordered my appliances on Monday! I got the 24" automatic because I had no idea that the manual one was coming out... DARN!

Just ordered the 30" manual Sharp micro drawer from qualitymatters.com in Portland. Excellent service so far and the trucker called re delivery, scheduled for tomorrow. Excellent price; reasonable shipping.

I have not ordered my Sharp microdrawer yet but am going with the 24. Would love to have the manual one so if anyone knows when it is forthcoming, I would love to know!

And, I had to give the cabinet specs to cabinet maker along with appliance specs. Do you think the specs would change regarding the opening in cabs for manual versus automatic?

Teresa - From what I understand, the manual 24" is available now. My appliance guy gave me model #kb6024ls. I still haven't seen/heard anything anywhere else about it. I had my cabinetry built to the specs of the automatic 24", so I hope the specs are the same! I won't be getting the micro right away, so I'll be anxious to see if it fits! I did verify the specs for the automatic 30" are the same as the manual 30", so I assumed it would be the same for the 24" ~ but you know what they say about assuming! ;)
