Ginger makes a few things for Restoration Hardware. Brasstech makes some other Restoration Hardware fixtures.

Restoration Hardware has been having on going sales. They will be having a 20% off sale this weekend 12/12-12/14 on everything. Get on their email list. I get emailed almost daily with new offers and specials. I bought all of our lighting and bath hardware from Restoration and got 20-40% off everthing just by watching for their sales and specials.

I have some Baldwin in my mbath and some RH in the powder room. I've been getting my Baldwin from HD, where it is the most expensive of the lines that HD carries -- perhaps $40 for a towel rack, while RH might be $150 for a comparable item. I don't notice a quality difference, although a towel rack connoisseur might pick up things that I can't. You could always buy Baldwin for now and change later if you want.

I've been slowly collecting my Restoration Hardware items from Ebay. I got a $150 double towel rack for $60, a $65 towel ring for $46...you get the picture. If you're patient, you can get almost anything on ebay at a discount.

That being said, Restoration Hardware is doing the 20% off thing all month, not just this weekend. In January, they have their semi-annual bath sale, which puts all bath items at a 20% discount. In other words, you have plenty of time to get item on sale if RH is your chosen brand.

I've played with each and I could not detect a meaningful difference in quality. Baldwin is very good, ginger is very good, RH seems to be very good.

I would go for what you like and fits your budget--they're all solid metal, not the light, junky stuff you get in the cheap aisle at home depot.

The *only* advantage that Baldwin and Ginger have is that I think there's more continuity to style, so if you want to add something later they're more likely to have the line. RH seems to phase things in and out if they aren't selling well.

Hi there. I thought in past posts that people had said RH faucets were made by Newport Brass (another all-metal, good quality company). Anyway, I did buy mine from RH, and I bought it a month before I knew their July semi-annual sale was to begin. I just asked for the 20% discount and they gave it to me. Good luck deciding.

Another vote for Restoration Hardware via Ebay... I just picked up a $409. faucet set for $150. Beats 20% off any day. BTW, this faucet set is still in the current catalog.

Used RH and Ginger. Both are holding up well after 4 years -- easy to recommend. The RH has great styling and as everyone has said they seem desperate to move product. There is a Friends and Family code also. Ginger is good quality but less highly styled than RH.

I have an RH faucet in the powder room..it's very nice...feels very solid. I got it in polished nickel and definitely wait for the sales.....but there IS this really strange dull mark on it that wasn't there before and I have no idea how to get it off or how it happened...
It's great to see all you ebayers out there...I also buy what I can on ebay...depending on the seller....
I have a chrome Lugarno triple vanity light in PolNickel anyone? LOL
