Range vs Wall oven

This is a part kitchen design and part appliance question:

I have decided that I want a 36" Bluestar RNB cooktop with a char broiler.

I can get a Bluestar range, or

I could get a Bluestar cooktop + some 30" electric oven.

I already have a 30" electrolux icon built-in microwave convection oven that will need to be wall mounted.

In the appliance forum, I want to ask what advantage the Bluestar oven would have over an electric oven such as an Electrolux, and vice-versa.

I know a 36" Bluestar range would have a huge oven, but we are only cooking for two.

I also know that the Bluestar oven has a 1850 degree broiler that can possibly make an awesome filet mignon (my favorite meal) I have heard that Ruth's Chris uses an 1800 degree oven. In my opinion no one prepares filet mignon better.

In the kitchen forum I'll ask about which is the better layout. I like the idea of having pan drawers under the cooktop. I also like the idea of having the oven up higher.

thanks,

~Jay
