I have two oval copper casseroles. They are SS-lined & not particularily heavy but heavy enough. I like them but not as well as pottery. I use the copper ones for things like potato gratens where I want faster cooking than what pottery would provide. Also, for dishes like the gratens they look very nice to just toss on the table as a serving piece. I don't actually cook many casserole types of things now that I'm thinking about it.....

Hi triciae, This pan is 4 inchs deep and 9" in diameter and it round, seems like a good size for 1 to 2 people. The tin lining has me worried though, got to keep the temp low. and use wood and silicone tools. do you think its a waste of time having this pan when i have a 5 qt dutch oven, and a 4 1/2 qt copper core all-clad sauce pan
