Brickyeyee - A pocket door question

My new build (masterbath) was supposed to have a pocket door. Well, the builder did not put one in, I have a door that swings into the bath and partially covers my shower door. Which means that I have to close the bath door to enter the shower.

How difficult and costly is it to remove the standard door and make it into a pocket door? The builder said the header would need to be removed, all framing and drywall would need removed, repainted, etc.

IS it worth the aggravation or should I just have them change the framing and have the door swing into the bedroom and forget about the pocket door?

I rarely if ever close my bathroom door.

Thanks
