I've been debating about your question and I would really have to see the piece before giving an answer because there are several different answers in fact.

You might want to take the peice to a Jeweler...NOT Wal Mart but a real jeweler and get his opinion. Most places are glad to help you, to keep or win your business.

Here is a picture of the necklace, Ginger. On one jewelry findings website, I found an "s connector" that I thought might work, but I wasn't sure. Do you think that might work?

Okay...an "s connector" should work or even a clip on locket bail like the one in the link below. There are several different styles of these depending on what company you use.
