OK, I've been thinking about it. It could be operator error.

I've been using my only two fabric scissors (Fiskars DuraSharp 1000 & 1100), especially the latter.

Maybe they're dull. But then maybe the thread snippers are too pointy/sharp to use.

I should get them sharpened & I should buy a different pair of scissors just for crafting/office use.

And I checked with Hobby Lobby about the glue issue. I can use white glue. I'll just have to either hold the pieces together so they don't slide apart while waiting to dry, or wait until the one piece of foam is tacky enough to apply the other piece of foam.

L-L I think you hit it...scissors, usually i use a cheap pair I purchased at a dollar store, they will be sharp..
and the same deal with the glue...I really like playing with the fun foam...found my book that has seasonal little hangers...I made all of them but over the years lost most..have the ones for valentine, st. pat's and halloween and christmas tho...d
