Kathleen your bonnet is just beautiful the way it is! a splash of yellow is always a nice touch, some eggs would be cute also, are you going to hang it on your door? or decorate with it somewhere else? I had one hanging on a old mirror, when I was still into country, let us know what you deside, makes me think of spring!

Thank you ladies! I have to play with it a bit to get it like the insp pic! I'll repost the final product. I thought I would use it on my outside door, it is a covered porch, until I put my summery wreath up. I'll stick some eggs in for Easter, then pull them out.

I really like the bonnet, and the purple ribbon seems fine to me-- I'd be interested in why you don't care as much for it. I do think a few little yellow flowers would really make it pop, but even those aren't a necessity. It's a very nice decoration and absolutely says "Spring."

My friend is moving and asked me to make one for her new front door! The pressure is on, LOL
Chatrbug, I wore many hats like that in the 70's as a bridesmaid, and I threw them all out! They would have worked fine. I got this one in ACMoore and with the 40% off coupon it was only $2 and change.

I love the idea of using the hat as a base and the purple fits right in for Spring!!
