I bought a package of the decal paper and then never got around to trying it. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow and send you a sheet if you'd like.

I use water slip decals. You can get ink jet or laser, depending on what type of printer you have. You have to use injet in an inkjet printer, and laser in a laser printer...

I use my photo editing program to set up my printout page- I can put several on a page to not waste the paper. I always print a test sheet (in draft mode on plain paper) to make sure they are the right size.

I use an inkjet printer, so after I print my decals and let them dry for a while, I spray them with clear Krylon - or any clear spray paint). I do a couple light coats. Let this dry really well also. Then I cut out the image close to the edges and place in warm water. I wipe the candle down first with some rubbing alcohol. Then I slip the decal onto the candle. I then gently smooth out any bubbles and pat dry. After completely dry - I spray the candle with a very light coat of clear spray again.

I don't burn the actual candle - I drill out the center of a 4-wick candle and add a votive cup and candle. You can add a battery tea light for those who don't wish to burn candles in their houses. This is done before the image is added to the candle.

I do mine the same as iowagirl2006. It's really very easy.

I haven't drilled out the candle. What do you use to drill the hole iowagirl2006?

MaryAnn - I use a Forstner bit - a BIG forstner bit. I bought it on eBay for a couple bucks. They are pretty spendy in the hardware stores, but it makes short work of drilling. It is a 2" bit.

I but the wicks off (4 wick candle) as close to the candle as I can, then I center the bit in the candle and drill it out.

The candles come with a plastic wrap around the outside. I leave that on until I am done drilling - I also put the candle in a small box to contain the wax. I save the drilled out wax to melt in a tart melter.

The candle in the picture is a hazelnut flavored one.
