Have you checked a bead store? The ones I've been in have lots of charms!

I get a lot of my sterling and 14kt charms from eBay at half the cost. If you don't want the cost of finer metal try a search for a pewter or silver plated version on eBay. Some great finds out there.

This is my first post. I've found make-shift charms from earrings, some of the stores in the mall that sell jewerly to the kids have some interesting charms on them and aren't very expensive, plus you get 2.
