This was a small show at an Elks club.

I was in an entry way along with 2 other crafters

but it was carpeted and very nice.

....everyone had to pass us to go to and

leave the main room.

There were only 17 or 18 crafters, 100% handmade

Some didn't sell much , I did better than most.

I made a little over 300.

It was well attended and people were buying

A very nice little show.

In 2 weeks I do my largest show, held at a college arena.

Thousands of people go through there, so make much more

money there.

I don't look down on the little shows, because 3 $300 shows

adds up to almost $1,000

What a beautiful display !!! Having the bottles lit up
had to have been a sure draw ! You also were very lucky to have such a nice backround . You wouldn't believe the backrounds I have been put up against . The worst was my first time at this really well known fair in a very ritzy suburban high school. I got stuck in a dimly lit hallway with purple and orange Lockers for my back wall. I was so disgusted - especially because the booth fee was over $150 PLUS jurying fee. Never again. Sometimes the small shows are worth so much more than the big ones. Glad you did so good !!!!!!!

WOW, do I ever love your wine bottles!! I have been out of the crafting loop for a very long time, but I sure would love to make some of those for family and co workers...if you dont mind sharing I would love to know how you made yours.

regular size 9.00 and the magna size 12.00
I see some people ask 19. to 24. for them
but they don't sell many.
I sold 21 at the little show last week.

Your display is very nice. I have a question on the blocks...how do you drill the holes?? I have been making the blocks and we have been using a carbide arrowhead bit and here lately after we have drilled them and I have decorated them, the blocks are cracking from the hole. I just need some ideas and help on getting the holes drilled the correct way. I sold so many of these last year and I am now concerne by them for this year. I have about 15-20 that I need to make right now. Please help me with any tips or anything!!!

Misty - to drill glass of any kind use diamond tip bits (Lowes or home Depot) - the trick is to keep the glass moist with some type of oil while you are drilling. They do make a rubber ring that fits in the hole but I have not used that.
soso - I do "small" craft shows and do REALLY well - you have to be on a waiting list for the "big" ones but the rental is outrageous! It's better when you have not as much competition.
