There are allot of people who love Prim style. Have you seen all the sites on the web? And Country Living and Country Marketplace magazines have both really gone Prim. I like some of it--actually i think what I like is "rustic". Like the tea stained look, old looking stitchery, torn fabric ribbons, rusty looking things.

My problem is that I like so many different things--from Prim/rustic to glitzy/shiney! Wish I could decide on a style I like and just stick with it! LOL

I don't know about how they sell, but I'm a prim fan! Plus I know there are a lot of Raggedy lovers too so the combination should be great. I say go for it! :) ~Anj

I like rustic/country...but some prim is REALLY primitive and I'm not real fond of some of it...But Andy and Annes are always good I think...They are classics

Do not second guess yourself -- if you like it others like it - go to ebay and enter "primitive christmas" --see how many items come up and look at the activity of bidding -- yes, lots of people like prim!

Love it!! have been doing it for about 15 years now...but phasing it out to a wee bit different style. I need a change.

My husband jokes about the uglier,the more worn out it look,the more ragged, rust,dusty the more I want it...mmm he's right...lolol

I do, but I only like the classy/primitive stuff, not the deeply grungy primitive. I like for it to look cleanish. I have a cousin-in-law who does the best prim stuff I've ever seen. She lives in FL and has a hard time selling it sometimes because of the people who want "beachy" crafts as opposed to the time-worn look of primitives.

I guess I'm the oddball - I don't like primitive style. I guess I'm just not a "folksy" type . Now this isn't a slam on primitive ! -- just not my style. I really don't know what my style is .... not modern , not antique-ish , I guess just eclectic. My tastes change over time - who knows - next year I might love it ! LOL

I'm with Kathy..I'm not much in to Prim either..I do some country looking crafts though..but I don't like grungy. It's just not me.
I actually probably prefer simple clean and modern.

LOVE Primtitive. However, I'm not into the REALLY Prim stuff. I like the homespun fabrics, coffee staining, dolls, stitcheries, wooden signs, rustic looking cupboards and cabinets and I LOVE Prim Antiques like enamelware, old blue Mason jars, crocks, etc.

There are a LOT of people in my area that love this style. There are millions of internet sites out there with all Prim items on it. There are loads of Prim items on ebay listed and sold every day. The problem is, some people only want to do what is "in" and the people that decide that and put items in stores seem to have a different idea of what the rest of us should like! NO way..not me...I'm not a modern girl at all!

I made several of the craft stick Raggedy Ann and Andy and Santa's too. They go together pretty quick. I'm pricing everything and puttings on. We'll see how I do. This place is a gift shop for Christmas only. I made over $400 last year. I only sold about two ornaments per night average last year, but it was exciting. Since my stuff was spread around the gift shop and I didn't have to stand there with it, it was kind of exciting to hear what people were saying without them knowing I was the crafter. I only heard one negative comment and that person bought three of my ornaments so I wasn't offended in the least.

I don't like prim much either. I didn't renew the magazines that had all prim stuff. There have been
a few things that I thought were interesting, but
generally it is not for me. I learned a long time ago
that what I like and what sells well at shows are 2
different things! LOL And if you do shows full time,
you have to make what sells, even if it doesn'a suit
you, personally.

I LOVE prim, especially the grungy ornaments.

Primitive is good until it gets into the SCAREY look - like BIG teeth and ugly faces on a simple snowman. If you sell at Craft Shows you gotta know your crowd. I think we need some new fresh ideas with pictures. As soon as I finish my "projects" for my upcoming show will send pictures of crafts in Illinois. Which means my 14 year old will have to show me how to get pictures to computer!

Do you have a pic I love raggedy I collect raggedy ann & andy.Yes I like primatve,my reason I have 1700 farmhouse so I have some primative things.

I didn't take pictures of my stuff and I already mailed it out.

Ann and Andy sort of looked like the Ann and Andy sticks on this commercial page except I put my own spin on the face and clothes. My ornaments are meant to be souvenirs so I made my own newspaper with relevant words and printed it out. I used the newspaper for Andy's hat and gave Ann a shirt similar to Andy's in the picture, but with the newspaper instead. Andy got a version of Ann's shirt.

I also made a Santa with a beard like the Santa stick on the site, but I used a raggedy face. I styled the hat differently and put the hanging loops on the back insead of the side.

These aren't anything new as far as ornaments go. They are fairly quick and satisfying to make. I didn't think they were extremely prim, but I got negatives from the two people who saw these pictures so that's why I was asking other opinions.

I like the Prim stuff. I did a few pictures in frames and they sold immediatley. I kind of wish they didn't sell because I really liked them. I did one that was a bird and it said "Peace" that one didn't sell. Do what you like...
