santa advent calendar

found a really cool santa advent thing at the ts - pockets with numbers on the body - but I don't have anything to put into the pockets. no kids at home, more for looks than counting down the days. Any ideas what I could use as decorations in/on the pockets?

How about candy canes or small toys from the dollar store.....maybe old small ornaments or rolled up paper with Christmas wishes or pictures from old Christmas cards!!!!

thanks iowajewel - ended up putting small candy canes in the pockets - but I have to keep refilling them because people are eating no matter what the date! Mostly I get asked where did I get that cool Santa - sorry, the ts doesn't have duplicates.
