lindhaus vacuum

I am looking for a good canister vacuum to use of both hardwood and carpet. I have looked at Miele and Riccar, but the people at the vacuum store highly recommend the Lindhaus Aria Elite. Does anyone have any experience with Lindhaus?

Don't have any experience but Lindhaus except I have heard of them. I have two mieles and I love them.

    Good luck!

I have a Lindhaus. It is an upright, not a canister. It cleans very, very well. I have a couple of issues. The beater brushes are so effective, they will, on a very dirty floor (pet hair) on occasion, get ahead of the suction and the head will plug. I have never had this happen to me, but the kids have managed it a few times. I suspect it is because they are racing around as fast as possible. It takes a while to notice the plug because the brushes keep picking up dirt anyway. The other minor issue is the piece that holds the hose is a little flimsy. I believe the newer models have addressed this (mine is 8 years old).

The bare floor head is the best I've ever used. Both heads that I have clean right up to the edge. The bags are designed very well, as are the various filters. You can even get HEPA filters for many models.

    We had a Lindhaus upright.
After 5 years it needed service and all the local vac shops dropped Lindhaus.
The closest dealer is about 100 miles away and I live in Seattle.
    couldn't get parts on line.
Calling lindhaus was no help they wouldn't sell direct and the dealer 100 miles away never responded to my email.

I posted before Christmas about looking for a cannister vacuum. My husband did buy me the Lindhaus Aria Elite, and I love it. The bare floor attachment sucks everything up, and the carpet attachment is sturdy, and my carpet looks great. I previously had a Windtunnel 2, and it in no way had the same suction power. I like that you can change the suction power.
I would highly recommend this cannister vacuum, and will probably get an upright Lindhaus for the downstairs, since it is all carpet.
